📋 Description

• Own the technical win for every enterprise deal in the DACH region, acting as the primary technical advisor from first discovery call through signed contract and successful onboarding.
• Translate complex customer pain points—ranging from petabyte-scale analytics workloads to latency-sensitive trading platforms—into elegant Pure Storage architectures that slash TCO, accelerate time-to-insight, and future-proof infrastructure for the next decade.
• Run white-board sessions, live demos, and deep-dive workshops with CIOs, VPs of Infrastructure, DBAs, DevOps leads, and cloud architects, distilling storage, networking, and compute concepts into clear business value.
• Architect multi-site, hybrid-cloud solutions that span FlashArray//X and //C for primary data, FlashBlade for unstructured data, and Portworx for Kubernetes persistent storage, integrating seamlessly with VMware, OpenStack, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Build and deliver customized proof-of-concepts in our Frankfurt briefing center or directly on customer premises, proving performance claims with real workloads and turning skeptics into champions.
• Partner with sales leadership to craft account strategies, map technical stakeholders, and identify whitespace opportunities that expand Pure’s footprint from a single array to a full data-platform estate.
• Mentor regional systems engineers on advanced features like ActiveCluster, SafeMode snapshots, and Purity Run; run weekly enablement sessions that level-up the entire team’s technical depth.
• Influence Pure’s roadmap by funneling field intelligence—feature gaps, competitive threats, emerging use cases—directly to product management and engineering via the “Voice of the Customer” program.
• Orchestrate responses to RFIs/RFPs, ensuring every technical requirement is addressed with crisp, differentiated messaging that positions Pure as the innovation leader versus legacy disk or niche startups.
• Travel up to 40 % across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, building face-to-face trust with strategic accounts in automotive, financial services, manufacturing, and the public sector.
• Champion Pure’s sustainability story—10x lower power, cooling, and rack-space footprint—helping customers meet aggressive ESG targets while modernizing their data centers.
• Contribute to regional marketing events (Pure//Accelerate roadshows, Tech Talk webinars, local VMUGs) by delivering thought-leadership sessions that establish Pure as the go-to expert on all-flash and cloud-native storage.
• Maintain deep hands-on expertise: spin up labs, script automation in Python or Ansible, and stay current with every Purity release so you can credibly demo at the command line or in the GUI.
• Collaborate with channel partners (VARs, GSIs, hyperscaler MSPs) to co-sell and co-deliver joint solutions, ensuring technical enablement and deal alignment from opportunity creation to closed-won.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years pre-sales or customer-facing architecture experience in enterprise storage, HCI, or cloud infrastructure, with a track record of winning complex deals >€500k.
• Native-level German and fluent English; able to whiteboard in both languages and author compelling technical proposals.
• Expert-level knowledge of block, file, and object protocols (iSCSI, FC, NFS, SMB, S3) plus virtualization stacks (VMware vSphere, KVM, Hyper-V) and container ecosystems (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift).
• Demonstrated ability to run performance benchmarks with tools such as fio, vdbench, HammerDB, or YCSB, and translate results into customer ROI models.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; MBA or master’s is a plus.
