📋 Description

• Assist in onboarding and managing transportation partners to ensure seamless daily student transportation operations
• Manage daily customer relations including new client start-ups, client retention, and ongoing development
• Identify and capture new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients through collaboration with internal teams
• Prepare and support the completion of proposals and participate in customer negotiations
• Acquire, distribute, and manage staff equipment such as driver/staff badges, business cards, and operational materials
• Monitor and interpret new legislation affecting alternative student transportation and assist in implementing compliance measures
• Build and maintain relationships with local and national transportation providers to expand service capacity
• Communicate and negotiate proposed transportation routes with local service providers during school year startup periods
• Oversee account efficiency and ensure customer service levels meet or exceed client expectations
• Manage vehicle maintenance standards and compliance across a large network of drivers and transportation partners
• Collaborate with internal departments to execute reports, programs, and initiatives that improve service quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity
• Ensure regulatory and client policies are followed to maintain a safe environment for passengers, contractors, and the public
• Adhere to all First Student policies and procedures while delivering high-quality customer service
• Utilize technical skills to generate operational reports, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and establish best practices within FirstAlt
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support evolving operational needs

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in transportation operations or customer service within a logistics, school transportation, or public services environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and coordinate with internal teams on proposals and negotiations
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in transportation or related industries
• Proficiency in creating reports, SOPs, and using operational software systems
• Ability to communicate effectively with transportation partners, clients, and internal staff
• Willingness to adapt to changing operational demands and regulatory requirements
