📋 Description

• The Forward Deployment Engineer will work directly with customers to deploy and optimize Firecrawl, a web data extraction API for AI systems, in real-world production environments, ensuring successful technical delivery and feeding insights back to product teams.
• Day to day, the engineer will troubleshoot complex integrations, debug API and crawling system issues, build reusable deployment playbooks, and translate customer needs into scalable solutions while owning customer issues end-to-end.
• The role is with a fast-scaling AI infrastructure startup backed by Workana Limited, focused on enabling developers to convert URLs into LLM-ready data via a single API call, with strong ARR growth and developer adoption.
• The person will learn to solve ambiguous, high-urgency technical challenges in live environments, gain deep expertise in API-driven infrastructure, and influence product direction through direct customer feedback and collaboration with core engineering teams.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building and shipping production systems or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong fundamentals in APIs, distributed systems, debugging, and infrastructure
• Experience troubleshooting real-world integration issues in production environments
• Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Solutions Engineer, SRE, DevRel, or infrastructure-focused engineering
• Comfort working in high-urgency, fast-paced startup environments
