• • As a Product Engineer specializing in Voice AI, your responsibilities will be multifaceted and hands-on. You will be tasked with the end-to-end development, configuration, and continuous optimization of our voice agent technology. This involves leveraging both third-party platforms and our proprietary in-house tooling to create robust and efficient AI-powered communication systems. A significant part of your role will be dedicated to owning the quality assurance processes for all voice interactions, ensuring that our agents perform reliably and deliver exceptional user experiences. You will work in close collaboration with our operations team and directly with our healthcare clients to gain an intimate understanding of their unique workflows, identify pain points, and meticulously translate these insights into actionable product improvements. This customer-centric approach is fundamental to our success and will be a core tenet of your daily work.
• • Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall reliability and scalability of our voice infrastructure. This includes collaborating closely with other engineers to develop and implement sophisticated monitoring systems that will be essential as Ascertain continues to grow and expand its reach. While much of your work will involve configuration and optimization, you will also be expected to write production-level code, primarily in Python, to build necessary integrations and implement custom functionalities that extend the capabilities of our voice agents. Your contributions will extend beyond the technical implementation; you will be an active participant in the broader product development lifecycle, consistently bringing a user-centric perspective to every feature and enhancement we develop. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of our voice AI offerings, with the potential to grow into owning the voice agent strategy for the entire organization over time. You will report directly to the Head of Engineering and have the flexibility to work remotely or from our NYC office, depending on what best suits your circumstances and our team's needs.
