  • • The Solutions Engineering team at Rox is not a peripheral support function; it is a core, product-shaping, and deal-defining engine. This team operates at the critical intersection of Sales, Product, and Engineering, with the primary responsibility of translating Rox's advanced technical capabilities into undeniable customer value. You will be joining the foundational stages of our Solutions Engineering team in Austin, working alongside a newly appointed Solutions Engineering leader and three existing in-seat SEs in San Francisco. A significant aspect of this role involves contributing to the establishment and scaling of the SE function in Austin, setting the precedents and best practices for how we demo, scope, integrate, and ultimately sell our solution.
  • • This is a founding-level Solutions Engineer position, ideal for an individual who possesses a potent blend of technical acumen, a deep-seated customer obsession, and a strong, informed perspective on what constitutes exceptional sales engineering. Your day-to-day will involve deep immersion in active sales cycles. This includes conducting thorough technical discovery sessions to uncover customer needs, architecting and demonstrating integrations that showcase how Rox seamlessly fits within a customer's existing data and GTM environment, and leading compelling demos that highlight the platform's transformative potential.
  • • Beyond the execution of these core responsibilities, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and rectifying inefficiencies within the sales process. This proactive approach involves refining demo flows to be more impactful, sharpening technical narratives to ensure clarity and persuasiveness, and generally elevating the standard of excellence for all future Solutions Engineers who join Rox. If you thrive in an environment where you can both delve into complex technical details and articulate that complexity with clarity to diverse audiences, this role is designed for you.
  • • Key responsibilities will include rapidly developing an expert-level understanding of Rox's product, including its underlying architecture, diverse use cases, and customer workflows. You will collaborate closely with the Sales team to deliver high-impact technical demonstrations and provide comprehensive support throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial engagement to deal closure. A crucial part of your role will be designing and articulating integrations across various components of the modern technology stack, such as data warehouses, CRMs, AI agents, and other GTM tooling.
  • • You will lead technical discovery conversations, focusing on uncovering genuine customer challenges rather than simply documenting stated requirements. Furthermore, you will act as a vital conduit for customer feedback, translating these insights into clear, actionable recommendations for the Product and Engineering teams. By refining demo narratives, enhancing technical positioning, and contributing to sales enablement materials, you will directly improve Rox's sales motion. As the team expands, you will also play a key role in onboarding and training new Solutions Engineers, particularly as we scale across the East Coast.
  • • Success in this role will be measured by your ability to quickly grasp the intricacies of the Rox product and articulate its value proposition with confidence within your first few days. Within a few weeks, you should be proficient in running live demos and actively contributing to deals currently in the sales pipeline. Within a few months, you are expected to be a driving force for improvement, elevating the sales motion, mentoring new team members, and fundamentally shaping the operational framework of Solutions Engineering at Rox.
  • • This role is critical because Rox is experiencing rapid growth, and the effectiveness of our technical narrative is as vital as the product itself.
