Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Serve as the primary fraud subject matter expert (SME) across sales, customer success, product, and external thought leadership at Oscilar, acting as the trusted voice that bridges technical fraud operations with executive decision-making.
  • • Partner directly with sales teams on 10+ customer calls per week, providing credibility and technical depth to prospects’ fraud, compliance, and risk leadership teams — closing credibility gaps by speaking fluently to analysts, directors, CROs, and CCOs.
  • • Act as the trusted advisor for key customer accounts, being invited by name to implementation calls, QBRs, technical deep dives, and escalations — where customers specifically request your presence to resolve complex fraud strategy challenges.
  • • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape AI-driven fraud detection models, rules engines, and agent workflows by translating real-world fraud operator needs into product requirements — identifying gaps in analyst workflows, risk layer design, and transaction rail coverage.
  • • Define and advocate for fraud strategy across multiple payment rails including ACH, wire, card, real-time payments, account takeover (ATO), synthetic ID, and authorized push payment (APP) scams — ensuring Oscilar’s solutions reflect actual operational realities across diverse financial institutions.
  • • Lead external thought leadership initiatives including conference speaking engagements (MRC, Money 20/20, ACFE), podcast appearances, LinkedIn content, white papers, and media commentary during major fraud events — establishing Oscilar as a recognized authority in AI risk decisioning.
  • • Deliver monthly briefings to Oscilar’s executive team on field insights: identifying emerging fraud trends, separating market hype from operational truth, and highlighting product gaps based on direct customer feedback.
  • • Produce and ship at least 10 pieces of external content within 90 days — including posts, presentations, or publications — that resonate with the fraud community and position you as a credible voice in the industry.
  • • Ensure that product roadmap decisions are informed by frontline fraud operations, with your input treated as load-bearing in discussions about model design, rule logic, and risk operations architecture.
  • • Build trust across all levels: from line fraud analysts who recognize your understanding of their daily challenges, to C-suite executives who rely on your insights to make strategic risk decisions.
  • • Operate without writing production code or tuning machine learning models — instead, providing strategic direction to engineers based on deep operational experience in fraud detection and risk management.
  • • Maintain credibility across multiple institutions and payment types; avoid narrow expertise in a single rail or issuer — demonstrate breadth across U.S. neobanks, Canadian banks, and global payments platforms.
  • • Be the person customers ask for by name — not because you’re the loudest, but because your answers make them feel understood, respected, and confident in Oscilar’s capabilities.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 7+ years of hands-on experience in fraud analytics and fraud strategy, with a track record of holding titles such as Director of Fraud Strategy, Head of Fraud Analytics, VP Fraud Risk, or Principal Fraud Strategist.
  • • Proven experience working across multiple financial institutions and multiple payment rails (e.g., ACH, card, real-time payments, wire, ATO, synthetic ID, APP scams) — not limited to a single issuer or transaction type.
  • • Demonstrated external credibility through published content, conference speaking, podcast appearances, or media engagement in the fraud and risk community.
  • • Ability to communicate effectively with fraud analysts, technical teams, and C-suite executives — earning trust across all levels without being an engineer or data scientist.
  • • Strong operational understanding of fraud detection systems, rule strategies, and risk workflows — with the ability to critique and guide product design based on real-world use cases.
  • • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry events, despite a remote-first role.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary and equity packages, including a 401(k) plan
  • • 100% employer-covered comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents (US)
  • • Unlimited PTO policy
  • • Remote-first culture — work from anywhere
  • • Unparalleled learning and professional development opportunities
  • • Family-friendly environment with regular team events and offsites
