- • Translate content between English and French Canadian on an ongoing monthly basis with precision and cultural accuracy.
- • Ensure all translations maintain the tone, intent, and branding of the original English content for client-facing materials.
- • Deliver translations that align with HubSpot ecosystem terminology and marketing communication standards.
- • Work directly with SmartBug Media’s internal teams to meet deadlines for client projects without requiring constant oversight.
- • Review and edit translated content for grammar, syntax, idiomatic expression, and regional French Canadian nuances.
- • Maintain consistency in terminology across all translated assets, including website copy, blog posts, email campaigns, and landing pages.
- • Adapt translations to reflect North American French Canadian linguistic conventions, avoiding European French phrasing where inappropriate.
- • Collaborate with content creators and marketing specialists to clarify context, audience, and intended impact of source materials.
- • Use translation tools and memory databases as needed to ensure efficiency and consistency across recurring client content.
- • Adhere to SmartBug Media’s quality assurance protocols and style guides for all delivered translations.
- • Provide timely feedback on ambiguous or culturally sensitive source content to prevent misinterpretation.
- • Keep all client materials confidential and comply with data privacy standards applicable to marketing agencies.

- • Work independently as a freelance contractor with no fixed hours, but with reliable and predictable turnaround times.
- • Accept and complete translation assignments as they arise, prioritizing client deadlines and project urgency.
- • Maintain professional communication with SmartBug Media’s project coordinators regarding status, questions, or delays.
- • Stay updated on evolving French Canadian language usage, marketing trends, and HubSpot platform terminology.
- • Ensure all deliverables are formatted correctly for direct integration into CMS platforms, email tools, and digital marketing systems.
🎯 Requirements
- • Native or near-native fluency in both English and French Canadian
- • Proven professional experience translating marketing content between English and French Canadian
