📋 Description

• As a Frontend Software Engineer on the Firefox team at Mozilla, you will contribute to building a better internet by improving the world’s most privacy-focused web browser used by over 225 million people monthly.
• Day to day, you will write code, tests, and specifications; build prototypes; analyze performance problems; synthesize bug reports into actionable tasks; ensure Firefox aligns with web standards; and improve data quality for better decision-making, all while collaborating with a global open-source community.
• You will join the Firefox Growth team, working on features that drive user acquisition and retention, with frequent collaboration across distributed teams and opportunities to learn from mentors and contribute to open-source software that impacts users worldwide.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and systems programming (C++/Rust), gain experience in performance analysis and optimization, and grow into a stronger engineer through hands-on work on a large, impactful codebase and ongoing professional development.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• A good grasp of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• BS in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
• Motivation to learn new tools and techniques for improving existing software
• Interest in multi-threaded systems, performance analysis, and optimization
