📋 Description

• Senior Frontend Engineer role focused on building the frontend layer of Airwallex's regulatory reporting platform, which is critical for ensuring compliance across 10+ jurisdictions and reducing operational risk for global financial operations.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include building and maintaining internal web applications for regulatory report review, submission tracking, and compliance calendar management; designing and implementing data-heavy UI components such as tables, charts, and drill-down views for financial data at scale; developing AI-assisted review interfaces where compliance teams interact with LLM agents for regulatory interpretation and gap analysis; collaborating with backend engineers on API design and data contracts; owning the BFF (Backend-for-Frontend) layer when needed; contributing to shared component libraries and design system conventions; implementing client-side data validation and error handling for high-stakes compliance workflows; and setting up and maintaining frontend testing practices (unit, integration, E2E) and CI/CD pipelines.
• The Regulatory Reporting team builds and operates Airwallex's automated compliance reporting pipeline across 10+ jurisdictions globally, creating internal tools used daily by compliance and operations teams — including regulatory calendars, submission dashboards, AI-powered review interfaces, and data investigation workbenches — where good tooling directly reduces compliance risk and operational burden.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in frontend engineering for complex, data-intensive applications; gain hands-on experience with AI-assisted UI patterns and LLM integration; contribute to scalable design systems and shared component libraries; strengthen your full-stack collaboration skills through BFF development and API contract ownership; and grow your impact in a high-visibility, mission-critical domain at a fast-growing global fintech valued at US$8 billion.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend development experience
• Proficient in React and TypeScript; comfortable with modern state management patterns
• Experience building complex, data-intensive web applications — tables, filters, charts, drill-down views
• Strong understanding of API integration (REST, GraphQL)
• Detail-oriented about UI correctness and data presentation accuracy
