- • As a Software Engineer II - Frontend - Pro at Kraken, you will contribute to building the future of crypto by developing and maintaining Kraken's flagship trading web application, a high-performance, real-time React platform used by professional traders worldwide.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing real-time UI components, owning performance end-to-end, leveraging LLMs to accelerate development, building and evolving WebSocket and Web Worker layers for live market data, and ensuring observability through Sentry, Mixpanel, and structured logging.
- • You will join a globally distributed, mission-driven team of crypto pioneers dedicated to advancing financial freedom and inclusion through secure, innovative crypto products, working in a fully remote environment across 70+ countries.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in frontend performance, real-time systems, AI-assisted development, and large-scale React applications while mentoring peers, contributing to technical strategy, and driving engineering excellence through code reviews, testing, and process improvements.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience in software development with a focus on production web applications
- • Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and strong proficiency with the modern React ecosystem
- • Experience building real-time UIs with WebSockets and Web Workers
- • Experience working with LLM coding tools (Cursor, Claude, Copilot or similar) to accelerate development while producing production-ready code
- • Hands-on experience with React Query or similar
- • Practical experience with production user monitoring and observability
