Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Architect and ship production-grade features end-to-end, from the Go-powered back-end services that ingest millions of device readings per day to the React + TypeScript dashboards that clinicians rely on for real-time patient oversight. You will own the full lifecycle: design docs, code, tests, deployment pipelines, and post-launch observability.
- • Design and evolve scalable data models in DynamoDB and Snowflake that let us store, query, and exchange ever-growing volumes of patient data while maintaining HIPAA-grade privacy and sub-second latency for clinical decision-making.
- • Build and maintain secure, fault-tolerant integrations with external hospital, lab, and device-vendor systems—turning brittle, human-driven data hand-offs into automated, auditable, and resilient pipelines using AWS Lambda, SNS/SQS, gRPC, and GraphQL.
- • Collaborate daily with product designers and customer-success advocates in concise, asynchronous rituals to translate clinician pain points into elegant user experiences; then validate your solutions by shadowing real users and iterating rapidly.
- • Champion code quality through thoughtful PR reviews, automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end), and continuous deployment via GitHub Actions, Bazel, and Terraform; you will treat every commit as a chance to raise the bar for reliability and readability.
- • Instrument everything—using Datadog and Honeycomb—to detect anomalies before patients or clinicians feel them; you will tune alerts, write runbooks, and join a follow-the-sun on-call rotation that respects your life outside work.
- • Contribute to open-source libraries we depend on, propose new tools when the current stack falls short, and document tribal knowledge so the next engineer ramps up in hours, not weeks.
- • Explore emerging AI tooling to automate repetitive coding tasks, generate synthetic test data, and surface clinical insights, while keeping a skeptical eye on ethics and accuracy.
- • Travel occasionally (once or twice a year) for high-bandwidth in-person design sprints with teammates across the Americas; the rest of the time you work where you are most productive, on a schedule that overlaps 4–5 hours with Eastern Time.
- • Grow with us: as our user base multiplies, you will help re-architect subsystems, mentor junior developers, and influence product strategy—turning today’s right-sized solution into tomorrow’s scalable platform without accruing crippling technical debt.
