Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end test automation strategy for Theoria Medical’s rapidly expanding healthcare platform, ensuring every line of code that touches patient data meets the highest standards of reliability, security, and performance.
- • Architect and maintain scalable, reusable test automation frameworks (API, UI, mobile, data pipeline) that cut regression cycles from days to hours, enabling weekly—sometimes daily—releases that keep clinicians and patients connected in real time.
- • Partner shoulder-to-shoulder with backend, frontend, and DevOps engineers to shift quality left: embed contract tests, performance benchmarks, and security scans directly into CI/CD so defects are caught before they ever reach staging.
- • Lead root-cause analysis for production incidents involving PHI or critical workflows; translate findings into automated regression suites that prevent recurrence and protect patient safety.
- • Mentor a distributed QA pod (mix of manual testers and junior SDETs) through code reviews, pair-programming, and brown-bag sessions, leveling up the entire team’s automation fluency.
- • Champion data-quality validation across domain-specific databases (patient records, billing, RPM telemetry), writing SQL-based assertions and data-diff scripts that guarantee referential integrity and HIPAA-compliant masking.
- • Define and track KPIs—test coverage %, flaky-test ratio, mean-time-to-detect—presenting actionable dashboards to engineering leadership and influencing sprint planning with risk-based insights.
- • Collaborate with Product and Compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2) into concrete test scenarios and automated evidence collection for audits.
- • Evaluate and integrate next-gen tooling (containerized test environments, synthetic monitoring, AI-driven test generation) to keep Theoria at the forefront of healthcare tech innovation.
- • Enjoy true remote autonomy: choose your own productive hours while ensuring US-time-zone overlap for daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and on-call rotations—no commute, no dress code, just impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent) for web, API, and data layers.
- • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript) and comfort navigating both relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
- • Demonstrated success leading QA initiatives in an Agile/Scrum environment, including mentoring junior engineers and driving adoption of shift-left testing practices.
- • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI) and containerized test environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive compensation tied directly to outcomes—your impact on release velocity and defect reduction directly influences your earnings.
- • Work-from-anywhere flexibility with a provided MacBook or Windows laptop, external monitor, and stipend for ergonomic home-office setup.
- • Comprehensive HMO coverage for you and eligible dependents upon regularization, plus 13th-month pay and performance bonuses.
- • Generous paid time off (vacation and sick leave) to recharge and maintain work-life balance in a fully remote setting.
