📋 Description

• • Own the full development lifecycle of Symplicity’s market-leading employability platform, used by 30 million students worldwide. You will architect, code, test, and ship features that span both client-side Angular applications and server-rendered PHP modules, directly impacting how universities connect students with life-changing career opportunities.
• • Engineer pixel-perfect, universally accessible user experiences that meet WCAG 2.0 standards. You’ll leverage HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript (ES6), and PHP 8 to create interfaces that work flawlessly on every device and for every user, including those who rely on assistive technologies.
• • Build and evolve dual UI stacks: modern single-page apps powered by Angular, SASS, and Webpack, alongside legacy-friendly server-rendered pages using PHP Smarty and jQuery. Your ability to bridge these worlds will keep our products modern while maintaining stability for millions of daily users.
• • Research, evaluate, and integrate open-source modules that accelerate delivery without compromising quality or security. You’ll become the go-to expert for UI libraries, build tools, and PHP packages, presenting findings and best practices to teammates across the U.S. and Brazil.
• • Champion test-driven development at every layer—unit, integration, and end-to-end—ensuring that every feature ships with confidence. You’ll set up pipelines, write tests, and mentor peers so that quality is baked in, not bolted on.
• • Collaborate daily with cross-functional squads using Agile SCRUM. You’ll refine user stories, estimate effort, and pair program with designers, QA engineers, and product managers located in multiple time zones, turning complex requirements into elegant, maintainable code.
• • Design and extend RESTful APIs using Slim, Doctrine, and Laravel, enabling seamless data flow between front-end applications and microservices. Your API craftsmanship will power real-time job matching, interview scheduling, and analytics dashboards used by career centers globally.
• • Contribute to living style guides and technical documentation that keep our growing team aligned. Whether it’s a new SASS mixin or a PHP service layer pattern, you’ll document it so future developers can onboard and contribute faster.
• • Drive continuous improvement initiatives—performance tuning, accessibility audits, dependency upgrades, and security hardening—ensuring our platform scales gracefully as we expand into new markets and languages.
• • Present technical demos and brown-bag sessions to share knowledge, influence architectural decisions, and cultivate a culture of learning across Symplicity’s global engineering organization.
