- • Lead the Lend & Protect Tribe within Personal Banking & Wealth Management, translating enterprise and Personal Banking priorities into a clear Tribe strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes.
- • Align cross-functional squads and stakeholders to deliver against quarterly OKRs and strategic priorities focused on lending compliance, nCino implementation, and Next Lend modernisation.
- • Own end-to-end delivery of lending and protection products and services, ensuring seamless customer experiences across all journey stages.
- • Drive commercial performance while maintaining strong risk management within ASB’s defined risk appetite and regulatory frameworks.
- • Embed governance, transparency, and compliance into all Tribe activities to ensure adherence to financial services regulations.
- • Lead the development and optimisation of technology platforms and services within the Tribe, partnering closely with Technology and Data & Analytics teams.
- • Use data and insights to inform decision-making, improve delivery flow, and uplift performance across product and operational metrics.
- • Own financial performance of the Tribe, including budget allocation, funding, and commercial outcomes.
- • Drive continuous improvement in delivery performance by applying PACE practices to enhance flow, quality, and velocity.
- • Provide clear, robust reporting and visibility of Tribe performance through formal governance forums and leadership reviews.
- • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing, inclusive Tribe culture rooted in ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- • Invest in talent development across the Tribe and broader PACE community, building leadership capability and succession pipelines.
- • Engage effectively with Executive-level stakeholders to align strategy, secure buy-in, and influence enterprise-wide priorities.
- • Balance customer experience, business growth, and risk compliance in all product delivery decisions.
- • Champion a data-led mindset across the Tribe, ensuring decisions are grounded in analytics and performance metrics.
- • Support the implementation and adoption of nCino and Next Lend platforms as core components of lending transformation.
- • Ensure all activities align with ASB’s purpose to accelerate financial progress for all New Zealanders.
🎯 Requirements
- • Deep experience in lending products (Home, Personal, or Business lending)
- • Proven senior leadership experience managing large, cross-functional product teams in financial services or regulated environments
- • Strong commercial acumen with ability to make strategic trade-offs that deliver value
- • Proven experience leading large-scale transformation programs in lending or product delivery
- • Deep understanding of risk, compliance, and governance frameworks in financial services
- • Exceptional stakeholder leadership skills with experience engaging at Executive level
