📋 Description

• As GM of a New Vertical at Protege Inc., you will spearhead the launch of a new business vertical from the ground up, playing a pivotal role in the company’s next phase of expansion by building the roadmap, forging early partnerships, and driving product-market fit in an untapped market.
• Day to day, you will collaborate with leadership to define strategy and resourcing, cultivate partnerships to expand the data network, close deals with initial data buyers, segment and prioritize market opportunities, define and execute launch plans, and identify growth levers to scale the business independently.
• Protege Inc. is a lean, fast-moving, high-trust team of builders solving the critical problem of AI training data access through a secure, privacy-centric platform, backed by world-class investors and already powering partnerships with ambitious AI teams.
• In this role, you will develop end-to-end ownership of a new business line, sharpen strategic and partnership execution skills, navigate ambiguity in a high-impact startup environment, and position yourself as a founder-like leader shaping the future of data and AI.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience defining strategy for a business/business line/org and executing against that strategy, including making strategic pivots when warranted
• Record of success in partnerships (bonus if you had a quota); ability to identify and close strategic deals in a fast-paced environment without many resources to help you
• Ability to structure creative deals for win-win-wins
• Comfort with ambiguity and with the possibility that this role may evolve over time
• Ability to communicate complex information to diverse audiences clearly
• Motivation and ability to get things done, especially independently, and even if that includes finding the right knowledge or resources for more technical problem-solving
