- • Join Mollie’s Engineering Graduate Program in Lisbon, starting in September 2026, with two structured rotations to gain hands-on experience in backend, infrastructure, or security engineering.
- • Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code using programming languages such as PHP, Java, or Python within a production-grade fintech platform serving over 250,000 businesses across Europe.
- • Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, and test new features and enhancements for Mollie’s all-in-one payments and money management solution.
- • Contribute to the technical roadmap by ensuring the platform remains secure, scalable, and up-to-date with industry best practices.
- • Participate in peer code reviews and actively optimize the existing codebase for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- • Identify inefficiencies in development processes and propose innovative technical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- • Work within a collaborative team environment that emphasizes knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and experimentation.
- • Receive mentorship from experienced engineers and be paired with a buddy to support your onboarding and professional growth throughout the program.
- • Engage in structured tech and soft skills training designed to accelerate your development as a professional engineer in a fast-paced fintech environment.
- • Gain exposure to Mollie’s business model and operations, deepening your understanding of how engineering directly impacts customer outcomes and company growth.
- • Work in a cross-functional team alongside product, finance, support, and commerce specialists based across Europe, including Lisbon, London, and Milan.
- • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence by adhering to software design principles, algorithms, and data structures in daily development tasks.
- • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, during team discussions, code reviews, and technical presentations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a graduation date of 2025 or 2026
- • Proficiency in at least one programming language: PHP, Java, or Python
- • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software design principles
- • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges
- • Experience working in collaborative team environments
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
