- • Darkroom Software, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Growth Operations & Financial Advisory Manager to join its innovative team. This pivotal role operates at the nexus of two crucial client-facing functions: managing the intricate operational lifecycle of Darkroom's proprietary Flight Plan infrastructure for e-commerce clients and providing essential support for the company's Financial Advisory services. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives on high ownership, possesses a dual aptitude for managing complex operational systems, and excels at advising founders on the financial well-being and strategic trajectory of their businesses. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this role is instrumental in ensuring clients receive maximum value from Darkroom's cutting-edge solutions and strategic guidance, contributing directly to their accelerated growth and enhanced profitability.
- • As the owner of the Flight Plan infrastructure, you will be responsible for the entire journey of this proprietary system, from the initial client onboarding process through to its full operational deployment. This involves meticulously setting up each client's Flight Plan, ensuring its ongoing maintenance, and guaranteeing that it consistently generates actionable insights. A key aspect of this responsibility includes vigilant monitoring of the health and accuracy of client operational and financial dashboards, encompassing critical metrics such as Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, revenue tracking, and margin reporting. You will proactively identify any gaps or inefficiencies within a client's existing infrastructure, taking ownership to drive effective resolutions. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that clients are not only equipped with but are actively leveraging the insights derived from their Flight Plan to inform their business decisions and drive performance.
- • In parallel, you will provide robust support to the Financial Advisory department, which offers specialized services in cash flow management and financial strategy to e-commerce brands. Working closely with the VP of Finance, your contributions will be vital in delivering and scaling these services. This includes overseeing the bookkeeper responsible for the day-to-day cash flow operations across various client engagements. You will be tasked with reviewing and validating the accuracy of crucial financial reports, such as cash flow statements, aging schedules, and working capital summaries, ensuring they are meticulously prepared by the bookkeeper. Your role will also involve ensuring that the bookkeeper maintains clean, audit-ready records and promptly flags any potential liquidity risks. Essentially, you will act as the critical quality control layer, bridging the gap between the bookkeeper's output and the information presented to clients and senior leadership, thereby upholding the integrity and reliability of Darkroom's financial advisory services.
- • Beyond operational oversight, you will delve into the strategic financial aspects of client businesses. This involves developing and maintaining sophisticated financial models tailored for e-commerce brand clients. These models will serve as the foundation for driving strategic recommendations across key areas, including growth drivers, cost structure optimization, margin improvement initiatives, and the enhancement of cash conversion cycle efficiency. You will advise clients on the health of their balance sheets and their progress towards achieving cash flow goals and projections. A significant part of your advisory capacity will involve supporting clients in understanding their financial runway and assessing their readiness for future fundraising endeavors. By analyzing financial performance data, you will identify strategic opportunities for expansion or cost reduction, directly contributing to the long-term financial health and growth of the brands Darkroom serves.
- • Darkroom is a forward-thinking, human services company powered by Shadow, a universal AI commerce layer. This unique fusion of executive-level strategy and proprietary agentic technology enables the delivery of exceptional results by amplifying creative output, operational efficiency, and revenue generation across the entire customer journey. The company boasts a proven track record, having driven billions in attributable revenue across diverse e-commerce landscapes, including marketplaces, media networks, DTC ecosystems, and social commerce platforms. Every client interaction fuels Darkroom's proprietary data infrastructure, creating a continuous feedback loop that accelerates growth, enhances margins, and compounds positive results across its client portfolio.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity for professional development, allowing you to deepen your expertise in financial modeling, operational infrastructure management, and strategic financial advisory within the rapidly evolving e-commerce sector. You will gain invaluable experience working with cutting-edge AI tools and proprietary technologies, enhancing your ability to deliver high-impact insights and solutions. By directly engaging with founders and leadership teams of high-growth e-commerce brands, you will hone your client-facing and strategic communication skills, positioning yourself as a key player in the future of media innovation and performance marketing.
