• As our very first Hacker in Residence, you will be granted a founder-level mandate, empowering you with the autonomy to identify critical internal needs, conceptualize innovative solutions, and rapidly develop and deploy internal tools. Your mission is to revolutionize our hiring, finance, and operations workflows, aiming for a tenfold increase in efficiency. This role is designed for an individual who is not afraid to take ownership, experiment with cutting-edge technologies, and deliver impactful results with unprecedented speed.
• You will have the freedom to select the technology stack that best suits each project, including choosing the most effective AI models and frameworks. The emphasis is on shipping functional, impactful solutions quickly – think days and weeks, not months or quarters. This is a unique opportunity to bypass traditional corporate bureaucracy, committees, and red tape, allowing you to focus purely on building and delivering value.
• Your core responsibility will be to build and ship internal tools at an accelerated pace. This involves leveraging the latest advancements in Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, and modern no-code/low-code tooling to maximize efficiency and speed up development cycles. The goal is to create compounding leverage, ensuring that every tool you build significantly frees up valuable time and resources across the entire organization, enabling our teams to focus on strategic initiatives rather than repetitive tasks.
• Beyond rapid development, you will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable, and scalable code. These tools must seamlessly integrate with our existing systems, including APIs, databases, and various third-party services, without compromising stability or performance as our company continues its rapid expansion. Robustness and reliability are key, ensuring that our internal operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• You will own the entire deployment lifecycle end-to-end. This encompasses the initial build, rigorous testing, successful deployment, and ongoing monitoring of the tools you create. The expectation is that you will build these solutions to a standard where they operate reliably with minimal oversight, demonstrating a commitment to quality and long-term sustainability.

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated technical proficiency with a strong history of building and shipping functional software, irrespective of formal educational background (e.g., Computer Science degree, coding bootcamp, self-taught).
• Hands-on experience implementing LLMs, AI agents, prompt engineering, and modern AI frameworks, with a proven ability to build and deploy AI-powered solutions.
• A solid track record of developing and deploying internal tools or automation solutions from conception through to production maintenance.
• Ability to work at a rapid pace, communicate effectively, and collaborate closely with non-technical stakeholders to translate their needs into automated solutions.
• Bonus: Familiarity with tools such as LangChain, CrewAI, OpenAI API, Make, n8n, Retool, Supabase, or similar, though a strong aptitude for quickly learning new AI tools is prioritized.
