đź“‹ Description

  • • Join Fortifyiq as a remote Hardware Design Engineer and become an integral part of our mission to develop and verify advanced digital designs. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of cutting-edge ASIC and FPGA solutions, contributing directly to the creation of next-generation technology that will shape the future of our industry.
  • • In this role, you will be instrumental in the entire lifecycle of hardware development, from initial concept and architecture definition through to detailed design, implementation, verification, and validation. You will tackle complex technical challenges, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in high-performance computing and specialized hardware applications.
  • • Collaborate extensively with a dynamic, cross-functional team of software engineers, system architects, verification engineers, and product managers. Your expertise in hardware design will be crucial in translating system-level requirements into robust, efficient, and scalable hardware implementations.
  • • Take ownership of the design and implementation of digital logic blocks for ASICs and FPGAs. This includes defining microarchitectures, writing RTL code (Verilog/VHDL), and performing logic synthesis and place-and-route.
  • • Develop and execute comprehensive verification plans to ensure the functional correctness and performance of your designs. This involves creating testbenches, writing assertions, and utilizing simulation and formal verification tools.
  • • Participate actively in design reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to best practices and design standards. You will also be responsible for reviewing the work of your peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • • Debug and resolve complex hardware issues identified during simulation, emulation, or post-silicon validation. Your problem-solving skills will be paramount in bringing designs to a successful conclusion.
  • • Contribute to the development of system-level architecture, providing hardware insights and trade-offs to optimize overall system performance, power consumption, and cost.
  • • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in hardware design methodologies, tools, and technologies. Proactively identify opportunities to incorporate new techniques and improve our design processes.
  • • Engage with external vendors and partners as needed, evaluating new technologies and ensuring seamless integration of third-party IP and components.
  • • Document your designs thoroughly, creating clear and concise design specifications, user guides, and technical reports. Effective documentation is key to enabling collaboration and long-term maintainability.
  • • Work within a flexible hybrid schedule, allowing for a balance between focused remote work and collaborative in-office sessions when beneficial. This model is designed to maximize productivity and foster team cohesion.
  • • Contribute to the development of high-speed digital interfaces, memory controllers, and processing units, potentially including areas like AI/ML accelerators, networking interfaces, or custom compute engines.
  • • Gain exposure to advanced process technologies and packaging solutions, understanding their impact on design choices and performance.
  • • Play a key role in the bring-up and validation of prototype hardware, working closely with test engineers to characterize performance and identify any silicon-level issues.
  • • You will be empowered to make significant technical contributions and influence the direction of our hardware development efforts. This role offers substantial growth potential within a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of digital logic design principles, computer architecture, and semiconductor device physics. A passion for innovation and a drive to deliver high-quality, reliable hardware solutions are essential.
  • • This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys tackling challenging problems, and is eager to make a tangible impact on cutting-edge technology. You will be part of a team that values creativity, technical excellence, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience in digital hardware design, including RTL coding (Verilog/VHDL) for ASICs and FPGAs.
  • • Strong understanding of digital logic design principles, computer architecture, and semiconductor fundamentals.
  • • Experience with hardware verification methodologies, including testbench development, simulation, and debugging.
  • • Familiarity with synthesis, place-and-route tools, and timing analysis.
  • • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • • Generous paid time off (PTO) and company holidays.
  • • Flexible remote work policy with a hybrid schedule option.
  • • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning, including conference attendance and training programs.
  • • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
