- • Serve as the critical link between the Hardware Team and Onsite Operations Team for Hawk-Eye Tennis, ensuring seamless coordination of hardware deployment and operational execution at global tennis events.
- • Split time between Basingstoke HQ (approximately 80%) and international tennis tournaments (approximately 20%), adapting to the dynamic tennis calendar and operational demands.
- • Manage and maintain over £2 million worth of equipment across 200+ flight cases, supporting the global movement of more than 30 tons of hardware for live broadcast and ball-tracking systems.
- • Identify, investigate, and propose solutions for hardware failure trends by gathering analytical data and recommending improved configurations or working practices.
- • Proactively manage the health of all tennis department kits in collaboration with kit managers, ensuring equipment readiness for every event throughout the year.
- • Advise project managers and staff on stock availability and recommend viable alternatives to meet operational needs within tight deadlines.
- • Liaise with Procurement and Stock Teams to forecast and plan for new hardware and inventory requirements based on event schedules and usage patterns.
- • Ensure adherence to company standards by communicating regularly with the core hardware team and procurement department.
- • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Crosscheck asset management system to track equipment lifecycle and location across global deployments.
- • Manage the Kit Quirks process by defining responsibilities, scheduling repairs or modifications, and coordinating with the hardware team to resolve system anomalies.
- • Identify weaknesses in current hardware systems and collaborate with relevant teams to design and implement improvements that enhance reliability and efficiency.
- • Develop and deliver training programs to increase departmental knowledge of hardware systems, processes, and troubleshooting protocols.
- • Monitor and operate the ball-tracking system and broadcast analysis tools during live matches at tournaments to ensure accurate data delivery for TV broadcasts.
- • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving hardware architecture, and innovating operational workflows for global scalability.
- • Build and refine processes for equipment build-out, deployment, and return logistics to increase operational efficiency across tournaments worldwide.
- • Work closely with Projects, Warehouse, and Logistics Teams to ensure the right staff and equipment are in the right place at the right time for every event.
- • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced, high-pressure environments to resolve technical issues promptly and deliver uninterrupted service during live events.
- • Engage with TV directors and external broadcasters to support the delivery of real-time statistics and visual insights during live tennis broadcasts.
