  • • As the Head of Data Analytics at Ruby Labs Ltd., you will be the driving force behind our entire analytics function, shaping how we measure success and empowering data-driven decision-making across product, marketing, and overall business performance.   • • You will be instrumental in defining, standardizing, and rigorously enforcing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the organization. Your mandate will be to ensure that every feature, experiment, and marketing campaign is meticulously measured, providing actionable insights that directly influence strategic direction and operational execution.
  • • Leading by example, you will set the highest standards for analytical excellence. This involves mentoring and challenging a team of talented Data Analysts, pushing them to elevate their analytical thinking, foster a deep sense of ownership, and operate with exceptional speed and efficiency. Your leadership will cultivate a high-performance, execution-first culture where data is not just analyzed but actively leveraged to achieve ambitious goals.
  • • A core responsibility will be the design, development, and maintenance of executive-level dashboards. These dashboards will be critical tools for real decision-making, focusing on impactful metrics that reflect true business progress rather than superficial vanity metrics. You will ensure these dashboards are robust, scalable, and provide clear, concise information to leadership.
  • • You will conduct in-depth analyses of user behavior, meticulously dissecting funnels, understanding retention drivers, and identifying key 'aha' moments that define user engagement and product stickiness. The ability to translate these complex findings into clear, decisive, and actionable recommendations for Product, Growth, and Executive Leadership teams will be paramount.
  • • Establishing a culture of metric accountability is central to this role. You will champion the principle that all initiatives must be quantifiable, enabling us to track progress, measure impact, and iterate effectively. This involves building, maintaining, and evolving robust SQL-based data models that are designed to scale seamlessly with the company's rapid growth.
  • • Proactive monitoring of key metrics will be a daily practice. You will be expected to detect anomalies, identify potential issues before they escalate, and take swift, decisive action to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. This requires a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of our business dynamics.
  • • Collaboration is key. You will forge strong partnerships with Product Owners, Engineering teams, Marketing departments, and Executive Leadership to ensure that data insights are seamlessly integrated with business strategy. This cross-functional collaboration will drive alignment and maximize the impact of analytical efforts.
  • • You will be the single point of ownership for all product and business metrics, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability. This requires a high degree of autonomy and the confidence to make potentially unpopular decisions when the data unequivocally demands it.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Data Analytics, with a proven track record of leading or mentoring junior analysts.
  • • Strong expertise in Product Analytics, including deep experience with user behavior analysis, funnel optimization, and retention strategies, coupled with a demonstrated ability to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with extensive experience in designing, building, and optimizing scalable and reliable data models.
  • • Hands-on experience with leading product analytics platforms such as Mixpanel, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), or Amplitude.
  • • Demonstrated experience utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Tableau, Looker, or similar for data visualization and reporting.
  • • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to dissect complex issues, identify root causes, and formulate effective solutions while maintaining a holistic view of the business.
  • • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence and ability to articulate complex data insights and challenge stakeholders effectively.
  • • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes.
  • • Experience working within subscription-based business models or other data-driven industries is highly advantageous.
  • • A background in sports, competitive environments, or high-performance teams is a significant plus, indicating a competitive mindset and drive for results.
  • • Familiarity with marketing analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads, attribution modeling) is beneficial.
  • • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, or ClickHouse is desirable.
  • • Exposure to modern data stack tools like dbt, Airflow, or similar data pipeline orchestration tools is a plus.
  • • Basic understanding of version control systems like Git and experience with code review processes would be advantageous.
