• • As the Head of Design, you will be instrumental in ensuring that craft, quality, and ambition remain at the core of our product development as we scale. This pivotal role involves leading Product Design, defining the company-wide experience direction, and embedding Design thinking into critical product decisions. You will have significant influence, being accountable for the overall feel and quality of the Midnite platform across all touchpoints and driving continuous improvement as we expand.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to lead and nurture our talented Product Design team, which includes line managing five designers. You will set a clear and high standard for design craft, strategic judgment, and ownership, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning within the team.
• • You will be the guardian of the experience bar across all product surfaces, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience whether it's our customer-facing native apps and website or our internal back-office platforms. This involves ensuring coherence across different product squads and user journeys, so Midnite feels like a unified, integrated system rather than a fragmented collection of features.
• • A key aspect of this role is shaping the long-term vision for the user experience. You will codify design principles and guidelines that steer all teams towards a shared, ambitious goal, ensuring strategic alignment and consistent execution.
• • You will play a crucial role in maturing and driving the adoption of our design systems. This will be essential for enabling both speed and consistency as we scale our product offerings and development efforts, empowering teams to build efficiently without compromising on quality.
• • This position requires close collaboration with Product and Engineering leadership. You will partner on strategy development, early problem framing, and navigating complex trade-offs, ensuring that design is integrated into the product lifecycle from inception.
• • You are expected to contribute hands-on to Midnite’s most complex and high-impact initiatives. Your expertise in visual and interaction design will be crucial in elevating the quality and effectiveness of these critical projects.
• • You will work collaboratively with Brand, Creative, Growth, CRM, and Games teams to ensure the end-to-end customer experience is cohesive, well-crafted, and aligned with our brand vision.
• • An important part of your role will be to explore and integrate emerging technologies, such as AI, where they can demonstrably improve our design processes and product capabilities, keeping Midnite at the forefront of innovation.
• • You will be responsible for strengthening the structures, processes, and standards that enable experience quality to scale effectively as the company experiences rapid growth, ensuring our design function remains robust and impactful.
