đź“‹ Description
- • As the Head of Global Ops and Delivery at Quartermaster AI, you will be the pivotal architect and executor of our ambitious global expansion strategy for the revolutionary SmartMast network. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of maritime connectivity and operational intelligence from the ground up, leading the charge in bringing our cutting-edge technology to new markets worldwide.
- • Your core mission will be to orchestrate the entire lifecycle of our global rollout, meticulously managing the intricate interplay between field operations, complex logistics, strategic market launches, and our vital fleet partners. You will be instrumental in defining not just the "last mile" of deployment – the physical installation and activation of our SmartMast units – but also the crucial "first mile" of market entry. This involves making strategic decisions about where, when, and precisely how we launch in new international regions, ensuring maximum impact and swift adoption.
- • A significant aspect of your role will be serving as a critical cross-organizational facilitator. You will be the central point of contact, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment across various departments to address new technical requirements, navigate evolving regulatory landscapes, and overcome unique market challenges. Your ability to bridge gaps and foster synergy will be paramount to our success.
- • Furthermore, you will act as the primary operations manager, charged with the vital responsibility of ensuring that Quartermaster Field Operations and our extensive vendor network are optimally resourced and strategically positioned to support both current projects and future emerging initiatives. This includes forecasting needs, managing capacity, and driving efficiency across our global operational footprint.
- • In the realm of Global Launch & Market Expansion, you will lead the charge in defining the product delivery scope and executing successful launches in new global markets. This involves deep collaboration with our Analytics team to map vessel availability against installation targets, thereby optimizing deployment schedules for maximum efficiency and speed to market.
- • You will be responsible for building, nurturing, and managing a robust global network of third-party vendors and specialized installation partners. This requires a keen eye for assessing vendor availability, capability, and quality in target regions, ensuring we have the essential "boots on the ground" necessary to scale our operations effectively and reliably.
- • A proactive approach to Requirement Discovery is essential. You will work closely with our Growth, Analytics, and Mission Success teams well ahead of the deployment curve to meticulously identify specific customer requirements and critical regulatory constraints in new international markets. This foresight ensures our operational plan is precisely adapted for local success *before* any hardware even arrives, mitigating risks and accelerating adoption.
- • Within Field Operations & Network Deployment, you will lead and inspire our field teams, ensuring the safe, timely, and high-quality installation and ongoing maintenance of the SmartMast network. Your leadership will set the standard for operational excellence.
- • You will meticulously oversee the scheduling and execution of deployments on a diverse range of vessels and offshore assets, requiring close coordination with vessel captains, port authorities, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- • Establishing and rigorously enforcing comprehensive maintenance protocols will be crucial to guarantee maximum network uptime and unwavering sensor reliability, ensuring our clients receive consistent and dependable service.
- • In Logistics & Hardware Fulfillment, you will oversee the entire end-to-end shipment process of sensors and critical hardware. This demands strict adherence to customer-defined specifications and precise delivery windows, ensuring that the right equipment reaches the right place at the right time.
- • You will act as the primary liaison between our Engineering teams and Global Supply & Logistics departments, ensuring that compliant hardware is correctly specified and delivered according to plan. This is particularly critical for our oil and gas fleet partners and customers, where precision and compliance are non-negotiable.
- • For Fleet Partnerships & Customer Technical Success, you will serve as the primary technical interface for Fleet Partners who are on the path to becoming full-scale customers. Fluency in discussing hardware specifications, installation constraints, and network architecture with Vessel Masters and Operations Directors is essential to build deep trust and credibility.
- • Ultimately, your drive for operational excellence will directly influence commercial conversion, building the trust necessary to transition partners smoothly from fleet engagements to becoming valued, full-scale, paying customers. This role is about building relationships, delivering exceptional service, and driving tangible business growth through operational mastery.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of progressive experience in field operations, launch management, or complex logistics, with a strong preference for experience within the Maritime, Oil & Gas, or Industrial IoT sectors.
- • Proven track record of successfully entering new international markets, including demonstrated experience in vetting local vendors, navigating complex regional logistics challenges, and adapting operational plans to diverse regulatory environments.
- • Strong technical literacy and the ability to understand, articulate, and communicate complex engineering concepts and hardware specifications clearly and effectively to both technical and non-engineering customer stakeholders, including senior maritime personnel.
- • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets, including vessel schedules, vendor capacity, and installation requirements, to develop and execute efficient, data-driven deployment roadmaps and operational plans.
- • Willingness and ability to travel 20-40% of the time, both domestically and internationally, to support global launches, oversee field deployments, conduct site visits, and engage directly with customers and partners.
🏖️ Benefits
- • The unparalleled opportunity to architect and lead the global launch and field operations strategy for a groundbreaking maritime network, fundamentally shaping the future of the industry.
- • Direct and significant impact on the company's revenue growth, international market penetration, and overall strategic success.
- • A dynamic and fast-paced work environment at the forefront of cutting-edge hardware development and artificial intelligence innovation.
- • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth.
