- • This is a hands-on leadership role where you will own and operate the full spectrum of human resources for our global organization. Your responsibilities will span across multiple countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, China, the UK, and the US, encompassing both on-site and remote teams. You are not just a strategist or a policy-maker; you are expected to be a builder and an executor, driving critical initiatives in talent acquisition, performance management, leadership support, and navigating complex people matters. As we grow, you will progressively build and mentor a small, high-quality HR team around you, empowering them to deliver exceptional results.
- • You will work in close partnership with our founders and senior leadership team, serving as a trusted advisor, a practical problem-solver, and a key contributor to our organizational success. Your ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution will be paramount. This role demands a proactive approach, a deep understanding of global HR practices, and the agility to adapt to the fast-paced demands of a high-growth technology company.
- • **Key Responsibilities include:**
- • **End-to-End HR Ownership:** Take full ownership of the global HR function, encompassing Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partnering, Employee Engagement, Learning & Development, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, and HR Operations. This requires a comprehensive understanding and practical application of all HR disciplines.
- • **Talent Acquisition Leadership:** Personally lead and support critical hiring efforts across technical, commercial, and corporate roles. Ensure the quality, speed, and consistency of our hiring processes across all regions, attracting top talent that aligns with Bjakcareer's innovative culture.
- • **Strategic People Partnerships:** Collaborate closely with founders and senior leaders on crucial organizational design initiatives, workforce planning, robust performance management systems, succession planning, and leadership development programs. Your insights will directly influence our talent strategy and organizational effectiveness.
- • **Performance & Development Frameworks:** Design, implement, and operate performance management, feedback, and development frameworks that are simple, practical, and actively embraced by managers and employees. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
- • **Employee Engagement & Culture:** Drive impactful employee engagement initiatives that strengthen alignment, boost retention, and enhance overall execution. Critically, these initiatives should strengthen our culture without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
- • **Hands-on HR Business Partnering:** Act as a dedicated HRBP for senior leaders and managers, providing hands-on support for day-to-day people decisions, addressing performance issues, and guiding organizational changes with sensitivity and expertise.
- • **Global Payroll & Compensation:** Own the global payroll, compensation, and benefits structures. Ensure accuracy, fairness, and compliance across all operating countries, managing complex international compensation strategies.
- • **HR Compliance & Operations:** Manage global HR compliance, employment contracts, policies, and statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Leverage external advisors or Employer of Record (EOR) services where necessary to ensure legal and regulatory adherence.
- • **Process & Systems Improvement:** Design and continuously refine HR processes and systems to ensure they are scalable and efficient, supporting business growth without becoming a bottleneck. Implement technology solutions that enhance HR operations and employee experience.
- • **Team Building & Mentorship:** Build, mentor, and lead the HR team as it grows. Foster a culture of high ownership, execution excellence, and continuous learning within the HR function.
