- • As Head of Machine Learning at Mimica Automation Ltd., you will lead a high-impact ML team driving innovation in task mining and process intelligence, directly enabling enterprises to reclaim time and work more efficiently through AI-powered automation insights.
- • You will report to the CTO and manage a growing chapter of 10 Machine Learning Engineers, including 3 Team Leaders, with responsibility for people leadership, project coordination, strategic alignment, and technical excellence across the ML lifecycle.
- • Your day-to-day will involve leading and nurturing the ML team through coaching, mentorship, and career development; facilitating OKR discussions, project planning, and retrospectives; collaborating with CTO, Platform, and Product teams to align ML initiatives with company goals; partnering with People on recruiting and onboarding; acting as a technical sounding board to resolve bottlenecks; driving development and deployment of ML systems with optimized tooling and infrastructure; and fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and technical ownership.
- • Mimica is a 45-person scale-up with strong product-market fit, built on proprietary ML developed before the LLM boom, operating with 8 cross-functional teams including a dedicated Platform team focused on infra and developer experience; the company prioritizes customer needs, small project-based teams, flexibility in problem ownership, full lifecycle accountability, silo-free collaboration, balanced quality and velocity, shared production responsibility, and individualized productivity routines.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in scaling ML organizations in high-growth environments, shape the strategic direction of ML efforts tied to product impact, grow your leadership in distributed systems and MLOps, and contribute to transforming how enterprises understand and optimize work through groundbreaking AI.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong background in applied AI/ML research, development, and deployment
- • Significant experience leading and executing machine learning initiatives in high-growth, large-scale product companies
- • Proven track record managing and growing ML Engineers/Data Scientist teams, including hiring, mentoring, and talent development
- • Deep understanding of ML engineering practices, including MLOps and data engineering
- • Expertise collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to align ML efforts with broader product goals
- • Strong communication skills for engaging senior leaders, product teams, and engineers in complex technical discussions
- • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with ability to decompose systems, identify bottlenecks, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions
- • Drive to continually develop skills, improve team processes, and reduce technical debt
- • Fluency in English with clear articulation of complex ideas and ability to gain buy-in for strategic technical decisions
