  • • The Healthcare Analyst II - Vendor Management Experience Required role at CareSource Management Group Company is a critical position focused on analyzing healthcare utilization patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve network provider performance. This role directly supports the organization’s mission to reduce medical costs while enhancing the quality and efficiency of care delivery for members across diverse populations.
  • • The person will conduct in-depth analysis of healthcare utilization data to detect trends, variations, and outliers; develop analytical tools for cross-market and cross-product performance comparisons; evaluate the impact of cost reduction initiatives; monitor clinical program effectiveness; perform root cause analyses of adverse health outcomes using demographic, socioeconomic, and clinical factors; segment populations for longitudinal and cluster analyses; and support ad-hoc analytics requests from various departments by prioritizing and coordinating execution.
  • • The team operates within CareSource’s analytics and vendor management functions, collaborating closely with clinical, network, finance, and operations teams to drive data-informed decisions that improve healthcare affordability and outcomes. As a remote-first organization, CareSource fosters a collaborative, inclusive culture that values innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • • In this role, the analyst will deepen expertise in healthcare data ecosystems—including claims, EMR, HIE, and UM data—while advancing technical proficiency in SQL, SAS, Power BI, or Tableau. They will strengthen their ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights, influence stakeholders through clear communication, and contribute to strategic initiatives that reduce medical costs and enhance population health management.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare analytics
  • • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • • Proficiency with Transact-SQL, SAS, Microsoft Power BI, or Tableau
  • • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • • Ability to organize data to facilitate inferences, conclusions, and decisions
