Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Transform lives every single day as a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist at hear.com, the fastest-growing hearing care company on the planet. You will work 100 % remotely from anywhere in South Carolina, partnering with customers who have taken the first brave step toward better hearing and guiding them through a life-changing journey.
  • • Own the full customer lifecycle—from the very first virtual consultation to precise fitting, fine-tuning, and long-term follow-up—using our cutting-edge tele-audiology platform and state-of-the-art hearing technologies that are redefining what people expect from hearing aids.
  • • Act as the primary clinical authority for a dedicated caseload of South Carolina customers, conducting comprehensive hearing assessments via video, interpreting audiograms, recommending personalized solutions, and programming devices remotely with the same accuracy you would achieve in a brick-and-mortar clinic.
  • • Collaborate daily with an interdisciplinary innovation squad that includes product managers, data scientists, UX designers, and customer-experience specialists to redesign and continuously improve the end-to-end customer journey in the hearing care space.
  • • Leverage real-time analytics dashboards to monitor customer outcomes, identify trends, and proactively reach out to users who may benefit from adjustments—turning data into delight and ensuring every customer achieves optimal speech clarity and comfort.
  • • Educate and empower customers (and their families) through empathetic, jargon-free conversations that demystify hearing loss, explain device features, and set realistic expectations—building trust that translates into higher adoption, retention, and referral rates.
  • • Champion compliance and quality by adhering to South Carolina licensing regulations, company SOPs, and FDA guidelines; maintain meticulous documentation in our HIPAA-compliant CRM so every interaction is audit-ready and contributes to our culture of clinical excellence.
  • • Participate in weekly virtual grand-rounds where complex cases are reviewed, new firmware features are beta-tested, and best practices are crowdsourced across our global network of 1,100+ colleagues in seven countries—accelerating your own professional growth while shaping the future of hearing care.
  • • Contribute to marketing and community outreach by recording short educational videos, hosting live Q&A webinars, and co-authoring blog posts that position hear.com as the most trusted voice in hearing health—your clinical expertise will directly fuel brand awareness and customer acquisition.
  • • Celebrate wins big and small: every five-star review, every tearful “thank-you” call, and every grandparent who hears their grandchild say “I love you” for the first time in years is a testament to the impact you make.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Active Hearing Instrument Specialist license in the state of South Carolina (non-negotiable).
  • • At least two years of hands-on experience fitting and dispensing hearing aids in a clinical or retail setting.
  • • Proficiency with fitting software from major manufacturers (e.g., Phonak Target, Oticon Genie, ReSound Smart Fit) and comfort troubleshooting devices remotely.
  • • Strong digital communication skills: reliable high-speed internet, professional on-camera presence, and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
  • • Nice-to-have: IHS or ACA certification, bilingual fluency (English/Spanish), and prior exposure to tele-health or CRM platforms.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Work from anywhere in South Carolina with a flexible, family-friendly schedule and zero commute—spend more time doing what you love.
  • • Competitive base salary plus uncapped performance bonuses tied to customer satisfaction and device adoption rates.
  • • Annual stipend for continuing education, state license renewals, and professional memberships so your credentials—and income—keep growing.
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage starting day one, plus a 401(k) with company match and equity options in a profitable global health-tech leader.
