- • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our dynamic team in Arlington, VA. This role is integral to the smooth functioning of our core HR administrative operations, encompassing compliance, classification, benefits administration, HR finance, and policy management. You will be a key contributor to ensuring consistency in our HR processes, facilitating seamless cross-functional workflows, and supporting HR leadership in maintaining operational excellence and alignment with Quartermaster's high standards.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to support the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the HR department. This involves providing responsive, meticulous assistance across a broad spectrum of HR functions. You will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and compliance of our HR documentation, preparing insightful reports and dashboards that inform critical decision-making, and expertly managing our benefits programs, including supporting open enrollment and other benefits-related processes. A crucial aspect of your role will be ensuring that all HR resources and communications are clear, accessible, and consistently up-to-date, thereby enhancing the overall employee experience.
- • Furthermore, you will contribute significantly to the review and maintenance of position descriptions, assist in evaluating classification requests, and ensure the consistent application of all relevant regulatory requirements. Your involvement will extend to providing broad support for various HR projects. This includes assisting with information gathering, building efficient workflows, documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinating logistical aspects of projects, and preparing clear and effective communications and guidance materials for stakeholders. Working collaboratively under the direction of HR leadership, you will champion efficient, compliant, and user-centered HR practices that not only strengthen our employee experience but also directly advance the Company’s ambitious operational goals.
- • Key Responsibilities include:
- • HR Operations (60%):
- • Uphold and ensure compliance with the evolving standards required for a rapidly growing company.
- • Actively support efforts to streamline HR operations by meticulously documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), assisting in the updating of HR policies, and contributing to the creation of accessible training and guidance materials for employees and managers.
- • Play a key role in implementing process improvements, exploring automation opportunities, and supporting the adoption of digital tools designed to enhance operational efficiency, bolster compliance, and elevate the employee experience.
- • Maintain and update content within the HR handbook and other essential resources, ensuring employees and managers have access to accurate, timely, and relevant information, under the guidance of HR leadership.
- • Prepare comprehensive dashboards, reports, and executive summaries to support strategic decision-making, compliance reviews, and operational planning.
- • Benefits Administration (15%):
- • Serve as the primary liaison between Quartermaster AI and our esteemed benefits brokers, fostering strong working relationships.
- • Proactively publicize our comprehensive benefits programs and conduct engaging group and individual orientation sessions and benefits reviews for employees.
- • Act as the main point of contact for all benefits-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate support to employees.
- • Provide robust support for the annual benefits open enrollment activities, including meticulous data management and communication.
- • Continuously explore and identify opportunities for enhancing our benefits administration processes and offerings.
- • HR Projects (15%):
- • Offer comprehensive general support for a diverse range of HR projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by HR leadership, actively contributing to planning, coordination, and successful implementation.
- • Assist in the critical tasks of gathering necessary information, preparing project materials, and organizing documentation to ensure the smooth execution of HR initiatives.
- • Skillfully coordinate project logistics, ensuring all aspects are managed efficiently and effectively.
- • Contribute to the development of clear and impactful communication materials, detailed guidance documents, and essential resources that support project rollout and enhance stakeholder understanding.
- • Maintain meticulously organized project files, notes, and reference materials to ensure continuity and institutional knowledge across ongoing and future HR initiatives.
- • Assist in the development and implementation of employee review systems that are thoughtfully aligned with Quartermaster's core company values.
- • Policy Development (10%):
- • Support the ongoing development, thorough review, and diligent maintenance of human resources policies and procedures, ensuring strict alignment with all federal and local regulatory requirements.
- • Assist in the drafting of new policies and the updating of existing ones to accurately reflect operational changes, incorporate best practices, and meet evolving compliance mandates.
- • Ensure all policies are communicated effectively and are readily accessible to all employees.
