- • As the HR Operations Manager at Kpr, you will be instrumental in building and owning the foundational people operations infrastructure that underpins our rapid growth and transformation within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. This is a pivotal role where you'll be the central point of contact for all HR compliance, benefits administration, employee lifecycle management, and policy development, ensuring a consistently positive and seamless experience for every team member from their initial offer through their eventual offboarding. This is a hands-on, individual contributor position that will provide direct support to both our holding company and our growing portfolio of acquired businesses.
- • You will collaborate closely with our Talent Acquisition Manager to guarantee a smooth and efficient transition from the recruitment phase into onboarding, ensuring new hires feel welcomed and prepared from day one. Furthermore, you will partner with senior leadership to design and implement scalable people processes that can adapt and grow alongside the company, laying the groundwork for future success.
- • A core responsibility will be to own and manage HR compliance across all Kpr entities. This involves staying abreast of and ensuring strict adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws, with a particular focus on the complexities of multi-state employment requirements. You will be the guardian of our compliance framework, proactively identifying potential risks and implementing solutions to maintain a legally sound and ethical workplace.
- • Your expertise will be crucial in managing the full spectrum of benefits administration. This includes the strategic selection of vendors, overseeing the open enrollment process, and providing day-to-day support to employees regarding their health insurance, 401(k) plans, and any other employee benefits offered. You will ensure our benefits programs are competitive, well-communicated, and effectively administered.
- • You will be tasked with researching, developing, and implementing robust HR policies and procedures. These initiatives will be designed to support our scaling operations while remaining practical, accessible, and employee-friendly, fostering a culture of clarity and fairness.
- • Handling all employment paperwork and documentation is a key function. This encompasses the meticulous management of offer letters, employment agreements, I-9 verification, background checks, and the maintenance of accurate and confidential personnel files.
- • You will own the administrative aspects of the entire employee lifecycle. This includes partnering with Talent Acquisition for seamless onboarding and managing all administrative touchpoints throughout an employee's tenure, including offboarding processes.
- • Maintaining and optimizing our HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and employee data is paramount. You will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of employee records, enabling effective reporting and data-driven decision-making.
- • You will serve as the primary liaison with external partners, including benefits brokers and employment counsel, to ensure best practices and compliance in all HR-related matters.
- • Supporting payroll processes and coordinating closely with the accounting department on compensation-related matters will be an integral part of your role, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- • You will handle employee relations matters with the utmost discretion and professionalism, providing guidance and support to employees and escalating issues appropriately when necessary.
- • Developing and maintaining an up-to-date employee handbook, comprehensive policies, and all essential HR documentation will be your responsibility, ensuring all resources are current and easily accessible.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves supporting the integration of newly acquired companies. You will ensure compliant hiring practices are implemented and facilitate smooth employee transitions, minimizing disruption and fostering a positive integration experience.
- • You will be responsible for tracking and reporting on key HR metrics and compliance requirements, providing valuable insights to leadership on the health and effectiveness of our people operations.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to build and refine HR operations from the ground up in a dynamic, high-growth environment, directly impacting the employee experience and contributing to the strategic success of Kpr and its portfolio companies.
