📋 Description

• As a Human-Computer Interaction Designer at Plaud AI Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping how professionals interact with next-generation AI wearable technology, directly contributing to the company’s mission of amplifying human intelligence through secure, intuitive, and innovative hardware-software integration.
• You will translate product and industrial design concepts into mechanical architectures and functional prototypes for AI wearable devices, ensuring that form, function, and user experience are seamlessly aligned from concept to validation.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing, building, and iterating mechanical prototypes to validate form factor, ergonomics, structural feasibility, and component integration, using rapid prototyping techniques to test and refine interaction models.
• You will collaborate closely with electrical hardware and firmware engineers to ensure integrated prototype development, bridging design intent with technical execution to solve complex interdisciplinary challenges.
• Working with product, industrial design, and engineering teams, you will support rapid concept iteration and technical feasibility evaluation, providing critical input that accelerates innovation cycles and reduces time-to-market.
• You will prepare validated prototype designs and documentation for smooth handoff to the engineering team for further development and mass production, ensuring clarity, precision, and manufacturability in every deliverable.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in hardware interaction design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or AI device interaction systems.
• Proven experience designing interaction systems for consumer electronics, wearables, AR/VR devices, or AI hardware.
• Strong understanding of multimodal interaction, including physical controls, visual indicators, haptics, sensors, and voice interfaces.
• Proficiency with interaction design and prototyping tools such as Figma, ProtoPie, Framer, or similar platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary engineering and design teams in fast-paced, product-driven environments.
