  • • Serve as a trusted HR Business Partner to senior leaders and managers across USA and EU operations, aligning people strategies with business objectives to support rapid organisational growth.
  • • Provide expert guidance on US federal and multi-state employment law, while ensuring compliance with EU employment regulations across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • • Lead and support complex employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations across distributed teams in the USA and EU.
  • • Drive talent management initiatives such as succession planning, workforce planning, and organisational design to enable scalable growth in a high-growth SaaS environment.
  • • Champion and design programs that foster engagement, inclusion, and wellbeing across globally distributed teams, enhancing the overall employee experience.
  • • Collaborate with global HR colleagues to develop, review, and implement HR policies and frameworks that balance local legal compliance with global consistency.
  • • Utilise HR data and people analytics to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and inform strategic decision-making around workforce dynamics.
  • • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on people-related challenges, translating business needs into actionable HR solutions in a fast-moving, lean startup environment.
  • • Navigate cultural and legal differences between US and EU markets to ensure fair, compliant, and effective HR practices across regions.
  • • Support the scaling of HR operations in a globally distributed startup, balancing strategic advisory with hands-on execution across multiple time zones and regulatory environments.
  • • Partner with cross-functional teams to embed people-centric practices into business planning, ensuring HR initiatives directly contribute to organisational resilience and growth.
  • • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving employment laws and HR best practices in both the United States and European Union to mitigate risk and enhance compliance.
  • • Promote a culture of innovation and ownership by aligning HR strategies with the company’s mission to build a more resilient global energy future through advanced machine learning and digital twins.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Significant experience as an HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist, preferably within a high-growth SaaS or technology company
  • • Deep knowledge of US employment law (federal and multi-state), with working knowledge of EU employment regulations
  • • Proven ability to operate as a strategic partner to leadership while also executing operational HR deliverables in a lean, fast-moving environment
  • • Strong experience managing complex employee relations cases, including performance improvement, disciplinary action, and grievances across different cultural and legal contexts
  • • Commercially minded with the ability to translate business challenges into effective people solutions; comfortable using data to drive HR insights and decision-making
  • • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the cultural awareness and adaptability to work effectively across the USA and European markets
