- • ICF’s Disaster Management division seeks a Data Solutions Specialist to support government agencies and communities in designing and implementing policies and programs that promote increased disaster resilience through data-driven insights and visualizations. This role is critical in transforming complex data into clear, actionable reports and dashboards that inform emergency response, recovery planning, and operational decision-making for public sector clients.
- • The position is 100% remote within the United States and is an early-career, non-managerial role ideal for professionals looking to grow their expertise in data analysis, visualization, and business intelligence within the disaster management and public safety domain.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting requirements gathering for business processes and existing systems, collaborating with developers to clarify data and reporting needs from business owners, and identifying relevant data source systems for analysis.
- • The role involves performing extensive data profiling and validation, designing end-to-end data visualization and reporting solutions from extraction to presentation, and ensuring technical accuracy through rigorous quality assurance processes.
- • The specialist will create and analyze business reports to deliver performance insights, forecast staffing needs, identify trends, and generate both regular and ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- • Additional duties include producing dashboard mockups, charts, wireframes, process flow diagrams, and system documentation, as well as preparing meeting agendas, biweekly status reports, and follow-up actions for client and vendor meetings.
- • The role requires providing technical assistance and troubleshooting by responding to inquiries, tracking scope changes during implementation, and keeping stakeholders informed of timelines and progress.
