Industrial Security Lead, Washington DC

📋 Description

• • The Industrial Security Lead will develop and scale a world-class industrial security program across multiple locations, including Washington DC and San Francisco, to support OpenAI’s work with government partners and secure sensitive R&D initiatives.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include supporting tactical operations of the industrial security program, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, ICD 705, DoD/IC regulations, managing personnel security programs, overseeing facility accreditation and construction, conducting risk assessments, managing secure communications and classified material control, and liaising with government security representatives.
• • The Corporate Security team is committed to creating and maintaining a secure environment that allows OpenAI employees and executives to focus on their work without fear of harm or disruption, enabling safe collaboration with government partners.
• • In this role, the individual will gain deep expertise in U.S. government industrial security programs, lead compliance and accreditation efforts for classified facilities, develop advanced security training, and contribute to the protection of national security-critical AI research and development projects.
