Infrastructure Engineer

📋 Description

• • As an Infrastructure Engineer at Tailscale, you will play a critical role in enabling internal teams by building shared engineering services and tools that enhance productivity, reliability, and scalability across the organization. Your work directly supports the mission of making secure, easy-to-use networking accessible to everyone, from individual developers to global enterprises.
• • Day to day, you will design, build, test, and document core software components; improve observability through metrics, logging, and alerting; automate infrastructure changes using infrastructure as code; collaborate with product and customer-facing teams to extract data for business decisions; and take ownership of service reliability by participating in incident response and driving continuous improvements in system efficiency and stability.

The engineering team values autonomy, technical excellence, and asynchronous collaboration, with a strong emphasis on empowering individuals to own impactful projects from conception to delivery.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure (particularly AWS), Kubernetes, and Go-based backend development.
