- • As an Infrastructure Security Engineer at Cohere Inc., you will play a critical role in securing the infrastructure that powers frontier AI models, ensuring compliance with Canadian government standards for Protected B classified environments and enabling the safe deployment of AI systems for developers and enterprises.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include deploying and managing secure infrastructure for Protected B environments, designing and implementing security controls across AWS, GCP, and Azure, evaluating and hardening security tools for AI training and inference clusters, implementing IAM, encryption, logging, and monitoring best practices, participating in incident response, conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and maintaining security documentation and active Secret+ clearance.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in government-grade cloud security, gain hands-on experience securing AI/ML infrastructure at scale, contribute to the protection of advanced AI systems, and grow as a trusted security advisor capable of communicating complex technical risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of previous experience in infrastructure security
- • Proven experience with Protected B environment setup, configuration, and management
- • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes in development and production environments
- • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and configuration management
- • Understanding of secure engineering best practices and ability to articulate problems and solutions to technical and non-technical audiences
- • Experience working with AI/ML systems or LLM-based applications (nice-to-have)
