📋 Description
- • As a Senior IT Administrator at Össur hf., you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of the global IT infrastructure that supports Embla Medical’s mission to improve mobility and transform lives through innovative orthopedic technologies.
- • Your work directly enables seamless operations across international teams, ensuring that clinicians, engineers, and support staff have reliable access to the systems they need to deliver life-changing patient care.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining global IT infrastructure, administering LAN/WAN network environments, deploying and configuring servers and equipment, managing Active Directory and Group Policies, overseeing user and computer account lifecycles, supporting patching and system upgrades, implementing monitoring tools for preventive maintenance, ensuring compliance with IT security policies, and collaborating closely with global IT engineers and cross-functional teams.
- • You will work within a dedicated Global Infrastructure team at Embla Medical, a subsidiary of Össur hf., a global leader in non-invasive orthopedics with over 30 years of innovation in prosthetics, bracing, and compression therapy, now advancing mobility through Bionic Technology powered by AI and human physiology.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise-scale IT systems, gain exposure to global infrastructure operations in a regulated medical technology environment, and develop leadership capabilities through collaboration with international teams — positioning you for growth into senior infrastructure or IT management roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience
- • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure administration, including server, network, and end-user support
- • Proven experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies, Office 365, and Remote Desktop Services
- • Strong networking knowledge including Meraki, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN, and NAT
- • Experience with scripting, system patching, upgrade processes, and IT documentation
- • Excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize by business impact, and willingness to work flexible hours when needed for global operations
