- • Perform remote order entry, verification, and drug verification for inpatient medication orders across multiple hospitals in several states.
- • Provide patient counseling as needed through telepharmacy channels.
- • Navigate and utilize multiple pharmacy information systems (PIS) to complete clinical tasks and documentation.
- • Deliver drug information and therapeutic guidance to physicians, nurses, and other care team members.
- • Assess medication appropriateness, including dosing adjustments for renal and hepatic impairment, drug interactions, and compatibility.
- • Support specialized patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant and nursing patients, and those with complex comorbidities.
- • Maintain clinical knowledge of IV therapies, cardiac drips, narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, and other critical care medications.
- • Accurately and promptly document all clinical interventions and actions in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.
- • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and patients to ensure coordinated and safe patient care.
- • Ensure full compliance with HIPAA regulations, state pharmacy laws, and client-specific policies.
- • Work across secure VPNs, automation systems, and multiple PIS platforms to execute daily responsibilities.
- • Utilize applications including Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Snagit for documentation and communication.
- • Maintain active licensure, credentials, and system access requirements as mandated by state and organizational policies.
- • Participate in ongoing training programs covering clinical updates, PIS system proficiency, and policy changes.
- • Meet established productivity and quality performance standards for remote telepharmacy services.
- • Work part-time schedule with regular shifts between 6 PM and 12 AM Pacific Time, including evenings, overnights, and weekends as scheduled.
- • Maintain a cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload for remote work.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active pharmacist license in Washington (WA) or Oregon (OR)
- • Bachelor’s in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
- • At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience
- • Willingness to obtain additional licenses in Alaska (AK) and Idaho (ID)
- • Ability to work part-time evening/overnight/weekend shifts
- • Proficiency with multiple pharmacy information systems (PIS) and clinical decision support tools
