- • The Instrument & Controls Commissioning Technician plays a crucial role in commissioning and starting up renewable natural gas (RNG) plants and landfill gas-to-energy power generation plants, directly supporting Ameresco’s mission to help customers reduce costs, enhance resilience, and decarbonize to net zero in the global energy transition.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating with managers about schedule and scope issues, embracing safety protocols, traveling to vendor shops for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), using electrical test equipment for I/O verification, verifying and tuning valve actuators, assisting with setup and troubleshooting of plant systems (servers, networks, HMI, PLCs, VPNs, data historians), updating P&IDs and schematics, providing technical support for mechanical and control systems, overseeing subcontracted work, and performing other duties as required, with willingness to travel extensively (up to 50% or more).

🎯 Requirements
- • Associate’s degree in a controls-related discipline or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in instrumentation and controls commissioning
- • Demonstrated experience in natural gas or power generation projects
