📋 Description

• • The SPLC is seeking a highly motivated Public & Media Relations Intern who is passionate about advancing racial and social justice through strategic communications and media engagement.
• • The intern will draft and distribute press materials, develop media relationships, book organizational experts for media appearances, collaborate on messaging strategies, and support rapid-response communications to amplify the Center’s mission.
• • The Southern Poverty Law Center is an internationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to reducing bigotry and oppression through research, public education, litigation, and advocacy, working in partnership with communities to dismantle white supremacy and advance human rights.
• • The intern will gain hands-on experience in public relations, media outreach, strategic storytelling, and nonprofit communications while contributing to impactful social justice campaigns and developing professional skills in a mission-driven environment.
