📋 Description
- • As an International Payroll Specialist at Avantor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate, compliant, and timely execution of payroll operations across various European countries. This 12-month fixed-term assignment offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both the day-to-day intricacies of payroll processing and the strategic advancement of global payroll transformation initiatives.
- • You will be entrusted with the end-to-end management of payroll for assigned European countries, working in close collaboration with our trusted external payroll vendors, such as ADP and Safeguard. This involves overseeing all stages of the payroll cycle, from data input and validation to final processing and distribution.
- • A critical aspect of your role will be the meticulous review of payroll outputs. This includes scrutinizing gross-to-net reports to identify any discrepancies, conducting variance checks to ensure financial accuracy, and verifying payment files and statutory submissions to guarantee compliance with all local regulations.
- • Maintaining the integrity of employee data is paramount. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of employee information across our payroll systems and Workday, proactively identifying and rectifying any errors, and supporting data uploads as required to maintain a clean and reliable employee database.
- • You will actively participate in crucial payroll-related data migration activities. This includes handling master data, year-to-date figures, and fixed pay components, and collaborating closely with the HRIS team to implement and manage system changes effectively.
- • Your involvement will extend to comprehensive payroll testing activities. This encompasses data validation to confirm accuracy, parallel testing to compare system outputs, and General Ledger (GL) testing to ensure seamless integration with financial reporting.
- • To foster operational efficiency and knowledge sharing, you will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date payroll documentation, detailed workflows, and clear process guidelines. This ensures consistency and facilitates smooth operations, especially during periods of change.
- • You will serve as a key point of contact, providing essential support and guidance to employees, HR teams, managers, and external stakeholders on a wide range of payroll-related queries and issues.
- • Proactive risk management is essential. You will be expected to identify, escalate, and support the resolution of any risks, issues, or data inconsistencies that may arise during the payroll process, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining compliance.
- • As Avantor continues to evolve its payroll processes and systems, you will contribute significantly to training and communication efforts. This involves educating stakeholders and ensuring a smooth transition during any process or system enhancements.
- • This role is fully remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from Ireland. You will be an integral part of our Global Payroll team, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional payroll services worldwide.
- • By joining Avantor, you become part of a global team of 14,000+ associates dedicated to advancing life-changing science. We believe in fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture, providing learning experiences to support your career growth and success. Dare to go further with us and see how your contributions set science in motion to create a better world.
