- • The IPA Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and strengthening relationships with medical groups, Independent Practice Associations (IPAs), hospitals, and provider partners throughout Alignment Health’s Central Valley markets, including Tulare, Kings, Kern, and surrounding areas. This field remote role supports market growth initiatives and ensures IPA and provider partner performance aligns with the overall objectives of the health plan.
- • Day to day, the IPA Manager will track performance against health plan objectives, receive and act on reporting from clinical or RAF teams, work with IPAs to develop and monitor remediation plans for performance improvement, serve as the main point of contact for day-to-day activities and issue resolution, attend external meetings with IPA leaders to document and follow up on action items, participate in Joint Operating Committees (JOC) and Joint Work Groups (JWG), collaborate with Market General Managers, Finance, Sales, Clinical, STARS, and Risk Adjustment teams to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives, and build strong relationships with assigned IPAs to drive collaboration and engagement.

They will gain experience in strategic market growth initiatives, performance management, and provider partnership development, positioning them for advancement in healthcare management, network operations, or plan leadership roles within a mission-driven organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- • Proven experience in a management role
- • Excellent understanding of CMS guidelines and regulations
- • Strong leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
- • Prior health plan, IPA, or medical group experience
