  • • Ramp is revolutionizing the financial operations landscape by leveraging the power of AI, and we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Issuing Partnerships Manager to join our growing team at our New York, NY headquarters. This pivotal role is central to expanding our innovative card product offerings, developing cutting-edge features through strategic partner integrations, and ultimately delivering unparalleled financial experiences to our diverse customer base. As a key member of the Issuing Partnerships team, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of Ramp's card products, driving growth, and ensuring we remain at the forefront of financial technology.
  • • In this position, you will dive deep into the intricacies of Ramp's existing product suite, working hand-in-hand with our Product and Engineering departments. Your primary objective will be to identify and implement solutions that leverage third-party capabilities to achieve Ramp's ambitious business goals. This collaborative effort will involve understanding complex technical requirements, translating them into actionable plans, and ensuring seamless integration with our partners' platforms. You will be a critical problem-solver, bridging the gap between internal product vision and external partner capabilities.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve supporting the launch of new products and the expansion into new geographic markets. This requires developing a profound understanding of our partners' offerings, meticulously mapping their functionalities to Ramp's specific product requirements, and identifying any gaps or opportunities. You will be the internal subject matter expert on our issuing partners, providing crucial insights that inform product development and strategic decision-making. Your ability to anticipate challenges and proactively find solutions will be paramount to successful launches.
  • • You will be entrusted with owning and nurturing the relationships with our most strategic issuing partners. This involves serving as the primary point of contact, the "go-to" resource for all partner-related inquiries, and the internal champion for these critical alliances. Building trust, fostering open communication, and ensuring mutual success will be at the core of your responsibilities. You will manage day-to-day interactions, address escalations, and ensure our partners feel valued and supported.
  • • Developing comprehensive subject matter expertise on card issuing is essential for this role. You will continuously deepen your knowledge of the issuing ecosystem, including regulatory landscapes, technological advancements, and emerging trends. This expertise will directly inform Ramp's own product roadmap, enabling us to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation through our partnerships. You will be expected to stay ahead of the curve, bringing valuable insights back to the product teams.
  • • A key responsibility will be to effectively evangelize Ramp’s product needs and strategic vision to our partners. You will actively influence their roadmaps, advocating for the development of new features and functionalities that align with our long-term objectives. This proactive engagement will ensure that our partners are invested in our success and are developing capabilities that directly benefit Ramp and our customers.
  • • You will be tasked with sourcing new infrastructure partners who can enhance and expand Ramp's card ecosystem. This involves identifying potential partners, evaluating their capabilities, and initiating engagement. You will own the entire deal process, from the initial term sheet negotiation through to contract execution. This will require close collaboration with our Legal team to ensure that all agreements are favorable to Ramp and our customers, mitigating risks and maximizing value.
  • • As our partnerships mature and evolve, you will be responsible for negotiating amendments and renewals to existing contracts. This will involve adapting to changing business priorities, both within Ramp and with our partners, ensuring that our agreements remain relevant and mutually beneficial. Your negotiation skills will be crucial in securing favorable terms that support our ongoing growth and strategic objectives.
  • • You will actively engage with partners through regular product updates and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). These interactions are vital for maintaining alignment, sharing progress, and ensuring our partners are fully integrated with Ramp’s long-term goals. You will facilitate productive discussions, track key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvement within each partnership.
  • • This role demands a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional organizational skills for managing complex, multi-faceted projects, and exhibits a strong sense of ownership. You will be empowered to take partner-supported product initiatives from their initial conception through to ongoing enhancement, demonstrating a commitment to excellence at every stage.
