Reporting directly to the Head of IT, you will take ownership of the entire lifecycle of our end-user computing fleet, focusing on driving automation and efficiency in provisioning, configuration, and deprovisioning processes. This role is critical for ensuring a secure, efficient, and seamless computing experience for all Branchers, regardless of their location.
- • Your responsibilities will extend beyond individual devices to encompass the robust network infrastructure that connects our remote offices. You will be a key technical leader, blending deep technical expertise with strategic thinking to enhance our operational capabilities and maintain high standards of performance and security.
- • **End User Device Management (EUDM) Strategy & Automation:**
- • You will meticulously manage the complete lifecycle of end-user computing devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, supporting both Windows and macOS operating systems. This involves strategic planning for device procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
- • A core focus will be on developing, implementing, and managing automated solutions for device provisioning, leveraging Zero-Touch Deployment (ZTD) where applicable. This includes automating configuration, software deployment, patching, and deprovisioning workflows to maximize efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- • You will be responsible for administering and optimizing our Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) solutions, such as Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro, ensuring devices are configured, secured, and managed effectively.
- • You will create, maintain, and enforce standardized device configuration profiles and application packages, ensuring consistency and compliance across the fleet.
- • A paramount duty is to ensure all end-user devices are secure, compliant with company policies, and consistently updated with the latest security patches and software updates, mitigating potential vulnerabilities.
- • You will manage and optimize device inventory, implement robust asset tracking mechanisms, and ensure accurate software license management to control costs and maintain compliance.
- • **Remote Office Network Infrastructure:**
- • You will oversee the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure within our various remote office locations. This includes routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points.
- • You will manage and maintain network devices from leading vendors such as Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, and FortiGate, ensuring their optimal performance and security.
- • Configuring and maintaining secure VPN solutions for remote access and site-to-site connectivity will be a key responsibility, ensuring seamless and secure communication across our distributed environment.
- • Proactive monitoring of network performance and availability is essential. You will identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal uptime and a superior user experience.
- • You will implement and enforce comprehensive network security policies, including access control, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network segmentation to protect our corporate assets.
- • **Operational Excellence & Support:**
- • You will serve as an escalation point for complex end-user computing, collaboration platform, and network-related issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and timely resolution.
- • Developing and maintaining comprehensive, up-to-date documentation for all EUDM and network configurations, processes, and procedures is crucial for knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
- • You will implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact end-users.
- • Contributing to the development, refinement, and enforcement of IT policies, standards, and best practices will help mature our IT operations.
- • Maintaining detailed network documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is essential for consistency and efficiency.
- • **Security & Compliance:**
- • You will implement and manage endpoint protection solutions, data encryption technologies, and other network security controls to safeguard company data and systems.
- • You will be involved in handling escalations from Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), ensuring swift and effective resolution of security incidents.
- • Ensuring all EUDM and network configurations adhere to relevant security frameworks and compliance requirements is a non-negotiable aspect of this role.
- • You will participate in security audits and provide necessary evidence of implemented controls, demonstrating our commitment to security best practices.
