📋 Description

• The IT Operations Support Engineer I provides entry-level on-site and remote technical support to end-users, assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and software. This role is critical to ensuring optimal performance and timely resolution of technical issues across Velera’s client-facing financial technology operations.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include providing first-level technical support for hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals; responding to and resolving service tickets with proper documentation; installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, applications, and hardware; assisting in the setup and deployment of new computer equipment; providing basic network troubleshooting; maintaining inventory of equipment, software, and licenses; following escalation procedures for unresolved issues; delivering excellent customer service; and staying current with ITSM, ITIL, and IT service best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• HDI certification required within 1 year of hire (industry-specific certification such as ITIL or CPI preferred)
• 0-2 years of experience providing IT service and support in a desktop support or level 2 role
• Ability to provide on-site physical location support for meetings, technical equipment, or events at nearby Velera offices, including potential full-time stationing at a designated office
