Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Be the backbone of Saronic Technologies’ global IT ecosystem, ensuring that autonomous maritime defense systems are supported by rock-solid infrastructure. You will serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues across hardware, software, and network layers, directly enabling engineers, operators, and executives to focus on mission-critical innovation.
- • Own end-to-end incident resolution for a diverse fleet of endpoints—Windows and macOS laptops, rugged field tablets, on-prem servers, cloud VMs, printers, VoIP phones, and mobile devices—while documenting every step in our help-desk system to build a living knowledge base.
- • Provide round-the-clock support to globally distributed teams spanning Australia, the United States, and at-sea test ranges. You will flex your schedule to overlap with multiple time zones, ensuring that a software engineer in Perth or a test director in San Diego never waits long for expert assistance.
- • Architect, configure, and maintain secure network segments that connect classified R&D labs, production manufacturing floors, and remote vessels. Daily tasks include VLAN segmentation, firewall rule tuning, VPN tunnel health checks, and rapid threat response in concert with our security team.
- • Administer and continuously improve our hybrid identity stack: Azure AD, on-prem Active Directory, Office 365, Intune, and conditional-access policies. You will automate user lifecycle events—onboarding, role changes, and offboarding—so that every joiner, mover, and leaver is provisioned or de-provisioned within minutes, not hours.
- • Drive proactive system maintenance: patch Tuesday rollouts, firmware updates for network gear, backup verification, and disaster-recovery drills. Your goal is 99.9 % uptime for all Tier 0 and Tier 1 services, with transparent reporting to stakeholders.
- • Mentor Tier 1 technicians through shadowing sessions, lunch-and-learns, and ticket post-mortems. Your coaching will shorten average resolution times and raise the technical ceiling of the entire support organization.
- • Partner with engineering, product, and sales teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Whether it’s spinning up a GPU cluster for AI model training or provisioning secure guest Wi-Fi for a VIP demo, you will deliver solutions that feel invisible to the end user yet bulletproof under scrutiny.
- • Champion security best practices: enforce least-privilege access, drive phishing-resistant MFA adoption, and conduct quarterly access reviews. You will also respond to after-hours security incidents, coordinating with SOC analysts and legal to contain threats and preserve forensic evidence.
- • Contribute to strategic projects such as cloud migrations, zero-trust architecture rollouts, and the integration of autonomous vessel telemetry into our SIEM. Your fingerprints will be on every major IT initiative that keeps Saronic at the forefront of defense autonomy.
- • Maintain meticulous documentation—runbooks, network diagrams, SOPs, and compliance artifacts—to satisfy DoD and Australian Defence security frameworks. Your paperwork will pass audits with flying colors and serve as the single source of truth for auditors and teammates alike.
