đź“‹ Description

  • • As an IT Systems Administrator at Gong, you will be a pivotal member of our technology team, responsible for the configuration, management, and seamless operation of our core Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms. This role is designed for an individual who thrives on taking ownership of critical IT infrastructure, enjoys dissecting and resolving complex technical challenges, and is passionate about leveraging automation to enhance business efficiency and employee productivity.
  • • You will be the primary owner of Gong's SaaS ecosystem, which includes essential platforms such as Okta for identity and access management, Google Workspace for productivity and collaboration, Slack for real-time communication, and Zoom for video conferencing. Your expertise will ensure these tools function flawlessly, supporting the daily operations of all Gong employees and enabling them to perform at their best.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will involve comprehensive incident lifecycle management. You will be accountable for addressing and resolving technical incidents, ranging from medium to high complexity. This includes not only the technical resolution but also ensuring timely communication with affected users and providing clear, concise updates to management throughout the process.
  • • You will play a crucial role in employee lifecycle security, orchestrating the critical processes of access management from the pre-hire stage through onboarding, ongoing employment, and secure offboarding. Your goal will be to ensure a frictionless and secure transition for every employee, minimizing disruption and maintaining data integrity.
  • • Building and maintaining a robust knowledge management system is another key responsibility. You will be tasked with creating and updating a comprehensive library of documentation. This repository will cover standard operational procedures, effective workarounds for common issues, and detailed solutions for resolved incidents, serving as a vital resource for the IT team and end-users.
  • • Your problem-solving skills will be put to the test as you tackle operational friction points. You will be expected to develop and implement smart, efficient processes and automation scripts that accelerate business enablement and eliminate manual bottlenecks, thereby freeing up valuable time for both the IT team and other departments.
  • • You will proactively identify and address access and security gaps across our diverse technology stack. This involves ensuring robust user management practices are in place across multiple complex platforms, all while adhering to strict compliance and security standards to protect Gong's sensitive data and systems.
  • • The ability to manage complexity at scale will be essential. You will need to independently prioritize high-pressure tasks, effectively track progress on multiple fronts, and ensure the overall stability and performance of our IT systems with minimal direct supervision.
  • • Your contributions will directly impact R&D and business velocity by ensuring the provision of reliable, high-performing tools and the implementation of automated workflows that streamline operations and accelerate project timelines.
  • • You will elevate our IT operations through meticulous documentation, proactive system monitoring, and a commitment to continuous improvement, driving operational excellence across the board.
  • • Furthermore, you will significantly enhance the employee experience, particularly the critical “Day 1” experience for every new Gong employee. By ensuring their digital workspace is ready, secure, optimized, and fully functional from the moment they join, you will set them up for success and contribute to a positive onboarding journey.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced, innovative environment at Gong, a company at the forefront of revenue intelligence. You will be part of a passionate team dedicated to building cutting-edge solutions and shaping the future of how revenue teams operate. Your work will directly contribute to Gong's mission of helping companies deeply understand their teams and customers, automate critical sales workflows, and close more deals.
