- • Join Perplexity as an IT Systems Administrator and play a pivotal role in building and scaling our technology infrastructure from the ground up. - • You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our IT environment, ensuring seamless operations, robust security, and efficient user support. This hands-on role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a deep understanding of modern IT systems, and a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
- • Your core responsibilities will include the procurement, setup, maintenance, and administration of all company hardware, including computers, laptops, networking equipment, and other office technology. You'll ensure our employees have the tools they need to succeed, from initial deployment to ongoing support and eventual refresh.
- • You will manage and optimize our corporate software systems, focusing on efficiency, integration, and automation. This includes overseeing licenses, managing user access, and exploring opportunities to streamline workflows through software integrations and custom automations.
- • A key aspect of this role is the management and enhancement of our Mobile Device Management (MDM) infrastructure. You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining MDM solutions to ensure the security and compliance of all company-issued mobile devices.
- • You will be instrumental in deploying and enforcing robust security policies and procedures across the organization. This involves implementing best practices for endpoint protection, data encryption, access control, and overall cybersecurity hygiene to safeguard company assets and sensitive information.
- • Provisioning and managing user accounts, groups, and permissions within various systems (e.g., GSuite, Okta) will be a critical daily task. You will ensure that users have the appropriate access levels while maintaining strict security controls.
- • Providing prompt, effective, and friendly technical support to all employees will be a fundamental part of your role. You will troubleshoot a wide range of hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems when necessary and documenting solutions for future reference.
- • You will take the lead on IT projects, driving initiatives related to endpoint management, security enhancements, infrastructure improvements, and new technology rollouts. This includes planning, execution, and post-implementation review.
- • A strong emphasis will be placed on leveraging automation and building tools to scale our IT capabilities efficiently. You will identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks, streamline processes, and improve the overall manageability of our IT environment.
- • You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that support their objectives.
- • This role requires a proactive mindset, anticipating potential issues before they arise and implementing preventative measures.
- • You will contribute to the development and maintenance of IT documentation, including policies, procedures, and user guides.
- • The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced startup environment.
- • You will be the go-to person for all things IT, acting as a trusted advisor and technical expert for the entire team.
- • This role is based in-person at our Belgrade, Serbia office, offering a stable and collaborative work environment.

- • 5+ years of hands-on IT systems administration experience.
- • Strong proficiency in managing macOS and GSuite environments.
- • Deep expertise with Okta for identity and access management.
- • Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, endpoint protection, compliance, and encryption.
- • Proven track record in independently managing IT projects, including system upgrades and new implementations.
