📋 Description

• As a Java Software Engineer II at CSG Systems International, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in the entire software development lifecycle, from interpreting complex requirements to designing, developing, testing, and implementing robust Java-based solutions. This position is crucial for ensuring the integrity and functionality of our software, directly contributing to CSG's mission of empowering companies to build unforgettable customer experiences. You will be instrumental in translating business needs into technical realities, ensuring that our software not only meets but exceeds client expectations in the telecommunications provisioning domain.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a wide range of critical tasks. You will collaborate closely with Business Analysts and customers to meticulously interpret requirements, proactively identifying and resolving any ambiguities to ensure a clear understanding of project goals. Following high-level and functional design specifications, you will undertake detailed low-level software design, meticulously documenting your approach and securing approval from the design authority to maintain the overall integrity of the system. A significant portion of your role will involve the hands-on development of software in strict accordance with agreed-upon requirements, ensuring high-quality code is produced.
• Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive unit tests for the software you create, aligning with the approved low-level design. This includes executing these tests, diligently recording any deficiencies, and implementing necessary remediations to guarantee software stability and performance. You will also develop implementation scripts and manage the deployment of developed software into test and production environments as required, ensuring a smooth transition from development to operational stages.
• Active participation and contribution within your team are highly valued. You will engage in team meetings, offering valuable insights and actively contributing to discussions on designs, identifying and mitigating issues, managing risks, and understanding interdependencies. A key aspect of your role will be to mentor colleagues, sharing your expertise in particular areas to foster collective growth and knowledge enhancement within the team. You will also be tasked with transforming intrinsic knowledge into extrinsic knowledge by actively contributing to knowledge capture systems, such as the internal Wiki and document management systems, and conducting team training sessions to both impart and acquire knowledge and experience.
• Finally, you will manage your personal workload effectively, ensuring compliance with organizational procedures such as time-sheeting, status reporting, and other administrative tasks, thereby supporting the overall efficiency of the organization. 🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent experience and expertise in the Telecommunications Provisioning domain
• Proficiency in English in a business environment
• 3+ years software development experience with modern Java SE (8+)
• Skills in PostgreSQL, and REST API frameworks
• Knowledge in Business Process Management, BPMN and Rules libraries (Camunda, Activiti, Drools, etc.)
• Knowledge in identity management and authentication (Keycloak)
• Experience in a development, packaging and release toolchain (Github, Maven, Kubernetes, etc.)
