As a Java Solution Support Sr. Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Solution Support Group, a dynamic global team responsible for providing 24x7 operational and upgrade support for FICO's cutting-edge Cloud, SaaS, ASP, and hosted solutions.
- • This role is ideal for ambitious engineers who thrive on learning new technologies rapidly and possess exceptional diagnostic skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a tenacious spirit. You will be instrumental in supporting FICO's most critical clients and contributing to corporate-critical initiatives, gaining a deep understanding of our business and collaborating closely with product development, product management, and sales/pre-sales teams.
- • As a generalist, you will support the full stack of Public Cloud, Private Cloud, and hosted web-based applications, ensuring their operational stability and performance. This involves adhering to established procedures and best practices while actively contributing to the continuous improvement of these processes.
- • You will be a key player in driving incidents to resolution, participating in scheduled upgrade activities, on-call rotations, and performing essential operational tasks. Your responsibilities will extend to implementing, monitoring, refreshing, and executing tasks on select and key Platform solutions, ensuring their optimal functioning.
- • In Deployment & Change Management, you will lead solution deployments, promotions, patches, and upgrades across various environments, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption. This requires meticulous planning and execution to maintain the integrity and availability of our client solutions.
- • For Monitoring & Incident Response, you will be responsible for setting up robust monitoring and alerting systems. You will investigate incidents, leveraging structured runbooks and post-mortem practices to drive swift and effective resolution, minimizing impact on clients.
- • Validation & Testing will be a critical aspect of your role, where you will perform post-upgrade regression testing, performance validation, and sizing exercises. This ensures that all solutions meet performance benchmarks and client expectations after any changes or updates.
- • You will also provide essential L2 & L3 support for solution-related OEM components, acting as a subject matter expert for these critical elements of our offerings.
