• • Shape the future of DevOps for Salesforce as a senior or principal-level engineer at Gearset, the market-leading platform built by developers for developers. From day one you will influence product direction, mentor high-performing teams, and ship production code that 10,000+ engineering teams rely on every day.
• • Own end-to-end delivery of high-impact features across our .NET/Postgres backend and TypeScript/React frontend. You will design, build, test, and deploy enhancements that cut deployment times, eliminate manual errors, and delight Salesforce admins and developers worldwide.
• • Lead without red tape. Our flat structure means you can propose an idea in the morning, validate it with users at lunch, and have it live in production by the afternoon. We release multiple times a day and trust you to decide when code is “good now” versus “perfect later.”
• • Grow and guide a cross-functional squad of 4-6 engineers. You will run lightweight rituals, pair program, conduct empathetic code reviews, and create a psychologically safe space where everyone levels up every sprint.
• • Stay close to the customer. You will join support rotations, read NPS feedback, and occasionally hop on calls with enterprise users so that every architectural decision is grounded in real-world pain points rather than assumptions.
• • Champion continuous improvement. Whether it’s shaving milliseconds off a SQL query, introducing a new React pattern, or automating a flaky test suite, you will instil a culture of experimentation and measurable gains.
• • Collaborate with Product, UX, and Customer Success in tight feedback loops. We prototype in Figma on Monday, validate with users on Tuesday, and refine the spec before a single line of code is written—eliminating waste and maximizing value.
• • Leverage our generous £1,500 annual learning budget to attend NDC, QCon, or that niche PostgreSQL workshop you have bookmarked. Then bring back insights and run internal brown-bags so the whole team benefits.
• • Contribute to open-source projects, write blog posts, and speak at meetups if that excites you. Gearset engineers regularly present at London Salesforce DevOps and Cambridge .NET user groups, raising both personal and company profiles.
